  • Instead of it just being bad women drivers now its just bad drivers, stay off them cells!!

  • I can see the mother-in-law disliked this video.

  • Omfg, what the hell is with that annoying high pitched sound?!?!

  • I remember this from when I was little! classic

  • If this was made today, the womens' models would be SUVs.

  • Thanks for the post.

  • e encantan estos dibujos! aveces digo que mierda hago en esta epoca viviendo jeje :P

  • Truth be told, women are still terrible drivers...

  • NOT REALLY. MY MOM HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT IN HER WHOLE LIFE AND I AM NOW IN MY TWENTYS, GOT MY LICENSE AT 18 AND HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A TICKET ONCE OR AN ACCIDENT THERE FORE GETTING CHEAP INSURANCE AS I GET OLDER.

  • 4:55

At last, an affordable car for the average raping man.

  • lol "just let 'em try to get away."

  • BRING BACK THE ACME HOUR

  • Classic!!!!!!!! At 40 years old, I still love these, so does my dad at 76!!!

  • Anyone who cannot see the humor of this cartoon are way too sensitive! Yes, this was a different era in which this cartoon was produced. We all have to keep that in mind. :)

  • Tex Avery At His Finest!!

  • this one is designed for pedestrians! lol. it even has a glass floor!

  • I loved this as a kid and still do.Thank you for sharing.

  • Anyone else hearing a high-pitched ringing noise when watching this? It's hurting my ears.

  • Can't help but notice... no seatbelts!!

  • @bellairis29 Most of the older cars didn't have them.

  • @ConspiracyJim not only did they not have them, but they didn't event think to invent them when they were working on the car you can fold into your pocket,

guess it was a simpler time

  • Reading the responses makes me GLAD TO BE ME!!!!! I come to watch an old cartoon I use to love and people are talking about sexism and saying racially nasty things???? I'm glad I don't have these peoples pathetic lives.

  • Oh remember the days when the USA was so full of confidence, so sure of Having It All that they could afford to laugh knowing no other country could hope to have those goodies too! It's a mentality that's finally hit the wall, kersplat. And I'm not gloating, coz we're all in it together. Save Our Souls.

  • 2:15 That's just about what we need :3

  • If they can add a device to announce which way they are planning to turn, why not just install turn blinkers like we have today? I find the hand signals to be quite ridiculous.

  • @cregrobert94 now go have some Fried Chicken and Watermelon

  • @cregrobert94 no in the 50s everybody smoked, we hated the Russians, and no Negroes!

  • @cregrobert94 They are no Negroes in the 50s! Its WONDERFUL

  • Mmmm. That's clearly why women have lower automobile interests rates than guys, right? Cause we're *worse* drivers and get in *more* accidents?

  • 2:00

    oh good lord lol

  • Hmm,the Step-down model...I think i should buy one of those.

  • "Here's a handy little model with a hole in the top, for all those people with pet giraffes" lol

  • the original short is from the early fifties, and even works with the stereotypes of the time. this is WELL before "political correctness" of course. and yes, Turn Signals were not common in the US at this time.

  • 3:54 BOSS BATTLE:IDIOT WITH HUGE BUMPERS

  • @Bedtime420 Thank you for pointing out how great the 90's was for animation. Disney made good animated films for the first time since the 60's, Steven Speilberg gave his kids and the rest of classics like Animaniacs & Freakazoid, Batman: The Animated Series breathed new life into Gotham, Nickelodean had all their best shows like Rocko...it was the Silver Age of cartoons.

We're getting a little quality as of recent, but not nearly as much.

  • I have been thinking about this particular cartoon and now I'm so glad I found it. When I was a kid watching this, I always thought it was hilarious about the glass bottom to see if you hit a friend! 4:01 Thanks for posting this!!

  • 3:56 a want a car like that

  • The audio has a high pitched screech that is giving me a headache.

  • I think the seat adjuster will only be useful if you're into date rape

  • (From a girls point of view) I found the sexism funny, just imagine one of the need for speed racer girls driving it, there'd be pettals, dirt and frills everywhere X3

  • @TheInfiniteZombies the corniest part? DODGE ACTUALLY DID THIS in the 50's

  • @anonymuswere cripes O_O

  • Forget Political Correctness and enjoy the funny side of life .......If the P.C brigade had there way this whole world would be as dull as dishwater!!!

  • Man these are great...! I wish toons were like this now

  • hehe sigh good old cars mind you most of them where like that back in the day

  • i love these cartoons

  • lol at pedestrian bumper

  • I love the model with a special seat for the mother in law.

Yeah nothing about this cartoon is PC but it is all true and very funny :D

  • these cartoons were so sexists!

  • @merdelune9 They were made in a time when women really didn't drive much. You don't do it, you can't do it well.

  • 3:48 hahaa

  • There was never any sexism in this cartoon

  • @youllgrowonme...Back then, it rained all the time in CA. Now they pray for rain. Global Warming? Or maybe CA is turning into a desert?

  • the Golden Age of cartoons... ..back when people had a sense of humor and weren't so goddamn sensitive about everything... I love this stuff.

  • @Janitor989

Back when 'politically correct' didn't matter to cartoons...Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, Max Fleischer.

It's also notable to mention Spum Co.'s Ren & Stimpy attempted to do the same thing to censorships but nonetheless most parents would try to stop their kids from watching it.

  • @papoj1PVR not mine..

  • this is really so funny and before a time where everyone is so serious and down to the nitty gritty about whats "rite" in society.... so maybe woman werent the best drivers, we could say it and joke about it and it was no big deal... Things these days are so dam "not fun" anymore, i miss the kinda laid back days..... god i feel bad for kids growing up in this era.... does anyone agree?? thumbs up if ya do (:

  • thank you for posting! Love the memories!!!

  • this model has a hole in the top for all those people who have pet giraffes....

  • That ladies car wasn't too far off from what cadillac did in the '50. They used to have these twin bustles called "Dagmars" named after a TV personality with a huge rack.

  • i have a live showing of this

there was a series of these cartoons made

    a series

    is this tex avery?

  • i really miss theses

  • I love that comments defending women are prohibited, but comments critiquing them are just fine.

  • @youllgrowonme North Cali. Ever been to SF? I hate SF when it's not raining. But i to don't get it. It hasn't rained in LA in uhhh... Oh right i'm in a desert!

  • XD this is soooo sexist!!!

  • XD this is soooo sexist!!!!!!

  • LOL, no seat belts in any of them! :D

  • i love the 50s view on women drivers

  • which cars do you prefer?

I prefer the women car and the car which show the one you crushed is your friend or not :p :)) LOLz... love Avery's films

  • I really like the woman car. Plants in teh fenders~! GREEN EXTREME!

  • acme hour.. wow seems like i was just watching that yesterday

  • Acme Hour? Man, those were the days...

  • @papoj1PVR Yeah. I miss those days.

  • The cartoons of the '30s, '40s & '50s are 10 million times better than the vulgar garbage they have out today!

  • @southwriter the 60s 70s 80s and 90s where also good, all started going downhill in 1999 . they no longer put effort into drawing anymore, and every movie that comes out is always about the end of the world!! whats up with that?

  • A classic cartoon spoiled by the uploader's over-PC comments. I think we're all grown up enough to moderate our own comments. Duh.

  • omg i have been looking for this for years now

  • Hahaha "The bumper isn't even scratched!"

  • "...and, the Mother-in-Law." Classic.

  • Don Draper at 5:03? I remember watching this when I was younger and CN would post older cartoons once in a while. I actually hated it, but there were a few I liked, and this one is one of them. I watched it more than ten times back then. Wonderful to have seen it again.

It's amazing how funny cartoons used to be, now they've devolved.

  • RIP ACME hour, CN Fridays

  • 3:47 now that's just sexist

  • Classic

  • One of my favourite cartoon. Ever.

  • Just let them try to get away

  • 3:53 i want new bumpers.

  • 2:04, we'll probably be able to do that one day:)

  • maaaaaaaaaaaaan i miss that intro V_V

  • $545 to $8432?! LOL

    That's like a $7,000 car jumping to $210,000! haha

  • Holy shit are those commercials before and after old.. i havent seen them since the 90s.... RIP CARTOON NETWORK YOU WILL BE FOREVER MISSED!!!

    *crying*

  • 1:55 Oh no!

  • 3:31 to 3:52 Is a great invention for cars. I had an idea like this for cars too, but not in the way that Tex Avery shows it. I respect women.

  • Women were never bad drivers. Men just thought (and still do think) they are.

PEOPLE IN GENERAL are bad drivers!! lol Regardless of gender, race, age, whatever.

  • @MezzaLuna22 Finns aren't bad drivers. Are you saying they're not people? :)

  • @MezzaLuna22

    Haha. Keep thinking that.

  • @MezzaLuna22 Then you mean women were always bad drivers if people in general are bad drivers. Sorry if I sound dickish there, just pointing that out.

  • @MezzaLuna22 No, women are terrible drivers.

  • @AssBurgerDeluxe no they arent thats such a sexist 50s comment

  • @MezzaLuna22 i used to defend women and hated men that said that women are bad drivers but then i had a job as a courier in europe....women are bad drivers...period.

  • Tex Avery was obsessed with plunging necklines

  • I.. remember it all.. like it was yesterday

  • i remember this.I thought it was so funny. oh and it as SOOOOO SEXIST

  • Love this cartoon!! I'm so glad you posted it. I was thinking about it and was hoping someone on YouTube had posted it! You're awesome. ;)

  • top upload - your video was the best! you are star.

  • Man, whatever happened to the old Cartoon Network? This is the stuff I grew up watching!!

  • @HurricaneSWAGG Are you 12 or something?

  • @bluepandaman Are you dumb or something? This is late 90s early 2000s Cartoon Network. Shut up.

  • @HurricaneSWAGG 1951

  • @lifeiskaos Obviously. Im talking about this cartoon network show in particular. Acme Hour played old cartoons during the late 90s/early 2000s. Ugh...

  • @HurricaneSWAGG so why not watch boomerage or the hub or tv land? I mean your entire statement consisted of saying you grew up on a watching cartoons that themselves were just a collection of all the stuff they could either buy or get the rights too that no one else is bothering to put on TV as often if at all.

Plus this cartoon wasn't even made for TV at all let alone had anything to do with the company that started CN. so I just can't understand your statement.

  • @HurricaneSWAGG they've changed format to better go with todays kids or be more..."educational", rather than entertaining.

  • Thank you for posting this. I grew up watching this and others and it tickles me to see it again. Its not offensive to me at all to see this. It was all in fun.

  • finally a car for my pet giraffe

  • 5:01

the 50's, she'll pretty much have to

  • Damned pedestrians... How many points are they worth these days?

  • No Negroes either! Ah the wonderful 50s!

  • Thanks for posting!!!! Great memories.... Honest cartoons.

  • Ok, I wasn't too impressed with the video until the "Clear Bottom Car" that permits viewing of run-over pedestrians! LOL nice.......

  • Hey! I'm a Scot and I take offense as long as it doesn't cost me anything!

  • 3:20 rofl

  • Thanks for posting this! Loved this when I was a kid and love it now.

To the rest of you, if all you see here is sexism and stereotyping then

I TRULY feel bad for you.

  • the women drivers and mother in laws are old jokes, but I happen to have a video of a live showing of this cartoon where the crowd is cracking up laughing. I was gonna post it on another account, but it got disabled for me to put any more videos on, but... the youtube account is still there

    LateNightStonerFilms

also what year was this cartoon made?

  • The mother in law jokes jajaja

  • that french car had a fine trunk

  • i think they over use the term, "this little number"

  • @12212012Oo19 could be worse. At least they're not saying "like" between every word.

  • @petrbrno very true.... like when maria sharapova kept on saying "um" during her winning speech a few years ago...... god that was annoying...

  • 5:40 was ahead of it's time! It had built in TV's!

Now day's a Civic cost more than the car at 5:40 and it doesn't even have half the stuff!

  • Why do so many people get offended. The heck with political correctness. I want to go back to a world where people could take a joke. Anyway, I love the cartoon. My boys and I were just talking about it today so I searched it out. FYI, I am 45 not sure if Im first generation to this cartoon or not. but sure remember it.

  • I love Tex. He truley is a King of Cartoons

  • 2:13 Thrifty Scott-man Model. Doesn't use gas.

  • some women are good decent drivers others are just plain stupid like turning left on a red light hiting my car and driving off

  • Ist sehr gut

  • Just substitute 'Massachusetts driver' for every instance of 'woman driver'. Then we're all set. :-) Its a right, not a privilege, to drive there, by every study the worst state. They're not taught to drive, that would discriminate. When I moved there in '81, the driver's handbook didn't mention 'right of way' at ALL. Not ONCE. Says it all.

  • Fucking hilarious

  • 50s were weird bro. I bet they thought they were really clever.

  • I need the car at 3:55

  • "Anyone who makes a comment about sexism, that isn't a joke..."

"Back then women really couldn't drive well. That wasn't sexism, it was the TRUTH."

^Ok, I think this counts as a joke.

  • @Duffytoler I agree, all I have to do is look at my mom back a car, she does not use mirrors or look over her shoulder, she uses "the force".

  • As a car collector, I can tell you what some of these are suppose to be. The 1st one is a Studebaker, the 1947-49 4 doors always had jokes about which way it was going. Hudson had what was called a "step down" model style, The one with the sunvisor is a 50-51 Studbeaker bulletnose. The model desinged for the "fine" california model is a Amphibian car. The king size stationwagon has the Buick front end and port holes. Cadillac started the fish tail fins, haha, The car with plenty of headroom Nash

  • @Orphanauto I think I saw a Henry J in there too!

  • $545 HOLY S***...if cars was that much today everybody would be in a car!!!

  • 4:55 making date rape just a little more easier since 1952

  • notice that they don't mention in-car DVD players or GPS.

  • This is funny because it's true.

  • That horn almost did Close Encounters.

  • I miss these cartoons and when Cartoon Network played cartoons 24/7. I lived for the Acme Hour!
