  • I just love this movie even though I think Dan's Jay voice could have used some work.

  • LOL Studs. I forgot about that show.

  • I guess Johnny said forget that i'll quit before you fire me!!

  • @CainmosniMirrored

I though you were dead Helan.

  • I always liked Leno. None of this crap with Conan really matters to me. Conan is my favorite but he was not right for the Tonight Show. He is better suited to the niche crowd.

Letterman is a pompous ass. I never could stand him.

  • @CainmosniMirrored Carson only wanted Letterman to take over his show...he had great respect and admiration for him.

Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien don't belong on The Tonight Show.

  • @KellyGreen5555 I really don't care about Carson's wishes. I was born in 84 so I was 8 when he retired. To me he is just an old relic..

  • @CainmosniMirrored

With all due respect, you're a blinkered idiot.

  • @KellyGreen5555 And you are a stupid fuck stuck in the past. Leno got the tonight show maybe he deserved maybe he didn't but it really does not matter either way. Letterman is an unfunny douche bag.

  • so because leno had the Waterboy's mom on his side, he beat letterman?

  • i just wish conan went to cbs after letterman, then itd be like 2 hours of stickin it to nbc! instead i have to choose

  • @theeHeisenberg Conan didn't want to do to anyone else what Leno did to him. He didn't want to push anyone else out of their shows. He didn't even want to go to TBS because he was worried that Lopez would end up losing his talk show on that channel but Lopez really wanted Conan there so he finally accepted.

  • A hell of a movie. HBO really does make the best cable movies.

  • Letterman looks like a combination of Neil Patrick Harris and Ralph Malph.

  • at :10 they WRONGLY assumed Dave didnt want the TOnight show.. BIG MISTAKE :(

  • i think the letterman performance is so excellent but im not crazy about them writing him like he's a slapstick comic

  • I like how we keep seeing the zaney things going on on Letterman's show, but nothing going on with Leno.

  • @takineko That's the differences between the two. Leno is all about jokes. He's the stand-up comedian. Letterman never was comfortable with doing stand-up. His show was all about stunts and attitude. Notice that when doing Late Night his monologue was only a couple of minutes. Leno's was always 10 minutes or more. Leno is a product of nightclubs and theater stages, and proudly so. Letterman is a TV guy.

  • Loved Kathy Bates in this movie.

  • Johnny Carson will always be #1.

  • @antidiz

    Carson was never funny

  • Leno sucks!

  • Jay sounds like Adam Sandler

  • Joel McHale would be a good host for a Late night show like the tonight show.

  • When people say it's all NBC's fault - that Leno shouldn't be blamed; I keep thinking about how both Carson and Letterman refused to play along with the dumbass NBC execs retarded plans.

It's always Leno who plays the company yesman. The first time he did it he lucked out and it worked in his favor. This second time - he's dug a big ass hole for himself (and NBC).

  • What hole did Jay dig for himself? He got the Tonight Show back so i'd say he's doing pretty well. That's fine by me though cuz I thought he did a great job before they moved him to 10 o'clock. But I know some people are mad & blame him for Conan's departure so maybe that's what you're referring to. I don't think it's Jay's fault though. He was pressured to retire early by NBC (even though he was #1 in the ratings) so that they wouldn't lose Conan to another network. Their fault not Jay's.

  • @tinister

Maybe Jay is just the pawn, besides he was funnier than Letterman anyway, with Conan that is debatable but Conan did get worse ratings than Jay the Tonight show.

  • @statman06

    loL

  • I forgot about the Arsenio angle. Does anyone remember Arsenio? OMG! These execs at NBC are as stupid as Sarah Palin. That's why network TV is going out and cable is taking over... so sad.

  • oh my god carson understood?

    theres twists and shit :P

  • Late Shift 3: Craig Ferguson vs. some-guy-who-letterman-will-put-in-his-place

  • @rgmatos2 i'm quite certain letterman wouldn't do that to craig. why would he do something he's always been opposing?

  • Comment removed

  • @rgmatos2

Doubtful. Ferguson's show is owned by Letterman's company. It's safe to assume that Ferguson will get Letterman's shot once he retires.

  • Wouldn't it be Leno vs whomever because he got his job back?

  • I predict Leno will retire (for real) within 1 year of his return. It may even be a forced retirement by NBC.

  • lmao it would be a dumb fucking choice , they would be killing all they had , without jay , who else do they have ??? fallon , carsin daily lmaoooo

  • once they got rid of conan that was that , they dug there own grave

  • Late Shift 2: Jay Leno vs. Conan O'Brien. I'd watch it.

  • heck yes..... Jay Leno must be like NBC's golden child or something

  • Why not. Jerry (Bee Movie) Seinfeld and Leno are best pals and their two golden children, and Jerry got NBC to produce his hideous reality show. It will be great to see their two golden children be massive failures.

  • Late Shift 2 would be Conan vs. NBC dude.

  • @joe007ofrock Late Shift 2: Jaws

  • @joe007ofrock Not only would Jay be in both, he's the instigator in both.
