sometimes I wish I could make exact copies of models and do stuff with them without having to worry about the fact that ill completly destory it for ever...
I made titanic model made of milk carton... but I didn't make it finished it was later dumped... I planned to detailed it deck by deck... now I'm planning to make model of Britannic made of milk carton britannic features caught my interest like its gantry davits, 3rd class smoke room as well as its less documented interior spaces
Hear me out - I think you should make one with a view to sinking it.
Before anyone says "oh but that'd be a terrible waste, I couldn't bear to sink it" - think about the REAL THING. Losing a matchstick Titanic wouldn't be a fraction of the loss that the real thing was,
and besides which - it'd make an INCREDIBLE Youtube video!! Sink it in a river some place.
I've got a slow motion camera, the Casio EX-F1 - it'd make awesome videos. Come on man - MAKE IT COUNT!
Well the real thing failed miserably too - that's my point! Hehe.
I think if I had the money I would commission a big model just for that purpose. It'd be a hell of a thing to watch on Youtube - I'd probably have it done at nighttime with a lit model. It'd be spectacular!
well in that case Barry,id like to see you make one,and this is nothing to do with the real thing, its a hobby, they shouldnt have to go and destroy it on your comand, unless they want to than thats fine
It'd make a splendid video, is all I was getting at. Of course it'd be tough to even think about sinking such a gorgeous model (hats off to the guy who made this video).
But I think someday it'd be awesome to see someone do.
yes, that is what i was trying to say, came out wrong though, yes,it would be difficult to destroy it,unless you have two models,or maybe quaters of the boat, and sink it in small parts
i think you should publish a how to guide for that to the internet my friend.i trully believe that you must get a guiness award.i m also making a titanic model in a 1:250 scale but this is a piece of art!!!!!!!
Hi, the model is about 94 inches long (8 feet)made from 147000 matchsticks sanded and polished to a natural colour. It is now in picadilly circus in london.
Hi, could you tell me the mesures of your model? please because I'd like to do a model like yours. Tell me the mesures and congratulations this is a nice ship!
wow that is a super model of titanic how long did it take you to build and how much i wish i could build one in tht scale but dont have the room in my flat for one tht size gues i have to move now to build one lol great job mate well done are you going to paint it message me back i would love to see it totaly finished and painted up
Your are my new god!!, i 'll build my Titanic's model in September. I don't know the scale but i believe 1:125 or 1:120. Your stern looks diferents, less fine. But yoor ship is incredible. Congratulations.
Its amazing to know there are still great artists in the world. I would buy it without a second thought but my wallets a little too empty at the moment. Great job, I cant wait to see it panted.

the only thing is what if it fails miserably. then you cant just fish it out. it would be dissolved, or the glue would fail.
then again... it would be cool.

Evidently, auto destructive art isn't a concept you are familiar with, so you are forgiven!

True true i supoose,it would be good to sink it,if it was lit up ad at night and all,in the water with cameras onboard,GREAT!
