Come to think about it, most people will do just fine with just a Citroën Berlingo! It has enough space for most purposes, no unnecessary bling, and it's dirt cheap, even brand new!
Truck Bed Boxes lock can break easy by a crow bar..i run my own business as Locksmith. slice 2000.i have alot of people having trouble with it. cost about $30-$40 to replace it. so best thing to put into the garage. there nothing new about the bed boxes.
Also, consider first whether you actually need a truck! I have a comfortable sedan with a big boot that fits all of my tools and more. And if I need to move materials, I just use the trailer hitch. Slightly less practical some of the time, much more comfortable most of the time. And I can't stress driving comfort enough, especially if it's also your workplace.
That is one sweet truck. I can't make of the make/model of the truck. Could you point me to the right place to ask? I have a friend who's tired of loading/unloading tools after each job and he's also got an old truck that needs to be replace.
The only thing is it looks too small to haul stuff to the dump. :(
These beds will fit on any standard-model truck chasis. You just have to match the truck with the body. In other words, you MUST select your utility-truck body first and have that dealer tell you the right truck and chasis to get so you do not buy an undersized vehicle. There are several utility-body manufacturers. Some that come to mind are Knapheide, Reading, Morrison, etc. Just do a Google search.
Tim, I would like a truck like that. But I am looking for one that has a cover and windows! If you know what I am talking about, what are they normally called? Becasue I can't find any on the Internet.
It's a utility body, just a different style. Go to a dealer and look at all the configurations. There are three major manufacturers who make utility bodies.
The last utility body I had when I was still building everyday had the body you want. It was the best one I ever had. Make sure when the doors are closed you still have over 96 inches of clear space. Otherwise you can't close the doors with a load of 4x8 material!
so I just bought a truck... and I got a great deal on it... I noticed that the truck bed seems to be detached from the main "truck"... any way to just replace that bed with another utility bed from the same year, make and model?
That was a post production error. Those two b-roll shots got mixed up. A bug in YouTube penalizes me from correcting it. If I edit the video and upload the correct footage, the view counter is reset to zero and ALL of the comments like yours get erased. I don't want to lose the 8,000+ views on this video. For the record, it was OSB.
Why is it that every video I watch of yours' and somebody questions YOUR way of doing it you get very defensive? I know this may come as a shock to you but there are people who know more on a particular subject then you! Don't pull out your favorite card to play with the "I checked your profile where are your videos?" You Child like actions are getting very old!
Thanks for your comment! Ouch! You don't have one video at your channel. YouTube is a *video* platform. Rarely do I say, "This is the *best* or *only* way to do X." I know there are multiple ways to do a task, and all may achieve the desired result. But you should *show* us your method, not tell us. You know the old saying, "Talk is cheap." If you prefer typing, then consider hanging around forums and bulletin boards where words are the preferred communication tool.
Yes. I *love* utility truck beds. They make a great place to eat lunch on a rainy day or cold, blustery day. They are a bad place to be in a hail storm unless there are enough earplugs to go around to all inside. :-)
wasn't aware these existed,very useful

I had this exact bed on my last work truck, the truck was a 3500 single wheel chevy with a duramax engine.
had plenty of power to pull a bumper pull trailer loaded with a caterpillar skid-steer, bucket, ogger and jackhammer attachments.

Why would you hit a tool boxe with a crow bar?
Sure you can place it in there. But why would you hit in there?

You are 100% wrong. I have had utility beds for years and that has never happened.

My Dad used to say that if you had to ask how much something cost, you couldn't afford it........ :-> Visit a truck dealer and ask.....

Yes. On your next day off, go visit a dealer that sells utility bodies to see all the options.

At .47 you loaded a 4x8 sheet and called it plywood. The sheet you loaded is not plywood.
Its Norboard, not plywood.
