The way you turn into "Ball Form" is when you are using boost and ran over the mini-turbos on the ground!!!!

Anyone wondering, it's from the OutRun 2 OST. This is another song I can add to my list of songs I really like from the Outrun games (this, Passing Breeze, and PB Euro Remix). Kinda funny how I've never played an OutRun game either. :P
