Hmmm you've done some good 'painting by numbers stuff' here, but seeing as you are a teacher I'm not convinced by the string bending on all of your vids.
john.your phrasing variation from1:10 to 1:16 was sweet as hell.that rake you threw in there very cool man.i always attemp to play that strict cause im a style junkie.hendrix to becker.very cool way to incorporate.vikings another great one on marching out.peace
It amazes me the amount of losers out there that offer their lame unfriendly advice to guitar players the have obviously put a huge amount of work in. Its easy to criticize we all know that, it not so easy to post up a guitar piece by one of the most technical guitarist there is.
nice job! i'd like to see the "guitar" players out there try playing anything by malmsteen.his stuff is a bitch to play! i thought you did an excellent job man! keep it up!
He'll change from those 16th note triplets to 9 in time of 8 quavers because he is a natural genius whose phrasing level of improv has never been seen before!I encourage anyone to go to music school and study complicated rhyhms and sightreading so they can listen and follow with the music in front of them. Real musicians are not DJ's!
hmm. first post didn't go. Anyways, the playing is good but I think the timing is off also. There are sections where there's a clear gap between his playing and what we hear from the cd playing in the background.
Absolutely pal... as u can see, not anyone is able to listen to those flaws, we are though... congrats to those who listened to those timing flaws cos u've all got good musician ear.. and so have I lol
Yngwie Malmsteen is one of the best three phrasers in shred guitar. Most top players(shredders) write the solos and memorise them. Yngwie is the holy grail for sight readers. Beat by beat he changes from 16th note triplets(standard shred) to 5 in the time of 4 16ths (=slowing down weidness/almost unique rhythm).

Good! But you should try to work on your vibrato! That's the thing that makes Yngwie Special. As you can see, anyone can play fast!
