@taintedtapper Yes, if you kill him she'll stay at the altar forever, unless you buy all the miracles she sells (she'll turn undead in the Duke's archive if you buy everything). But as soon as you save her from the Tomb of The Giant, she'll stay at the altar for an undeterminated time - there's some sort of timer until Petrus kills her and no one knows what is the actual trigger for this.

@MichelKobayashi Reah stays at the Altar for TWO more areas of the game. New areas that is. For example, if you hadn't done the Dukes Arkives and went there, it would count as ONE area on Rheas timer. This is of course assuming you haven't killed Petrus.
