  • I was just about to say is she talking to herself and answering herself LMFAO j/k

but for real tho yall sound just a like

  • i clicked this video and thought it was a mother relaxing a really young child. I was ready to be pissed (i dont think its right to relax little kids hair. goto give them a chance to grow their hair long at least and make that choice). I was PLEASANTLY surprised when i saw it was an adult. that said. GIRL YOU LOOK SO YOUNG! I honestly thought you were 9 or 10 in the thumbnail. So PRETTY!

  • wow they sound just alike

  • Good technique, but applying the chemical using hands without using gloves is not good. The chemicals could remove fingerprints, over time. Also, a good tip for anyone relaxing their hair, whether on your own or someone else, basing the scalp is a protective barrier for the scalp.

  • what's the difference between a no lye relaxer and a relaxer???

  • wow do people ever confuse you for your

sister when you answer the phone?

  • @saharatopia yes, she said it in another video :D

  • ashley is so cute

  • Meg, your video is very nice, but your friend is playing around to much...don't let someone hold you back. You are wonderful and well spoken. However, you both are very young so you are excused.

  • You have pretty hair. It looks very healthy. It didn't look like you needed a relaxer yet tho.

  • omfg you two hve tht gollum voice !!! (not to be mean lol)

  • OH NO! do your edges last!!!!!! please :)

  • you should think about texlaxing... my hair used to be that flat, but once i started texlaxing it no joke tripled in density.

  • did the applicator brush come with the relaxer or did you buy it from sally's or something?

  • @MarilynKikama It's not included. You can purchase from your Local Beauty Supply.

  • What is the difference between a relaxer and a perm? What are the benefits of a relaxer? Which is better, a relaxer or a perm?

  • @jamaicangirl2000 a relaxer makes you hair straight..a perm makes u hair curly

  • *Door slamed: UHH momy is home...Hide the relaxer!!!! ***Momy: What are u gurls doing???

** Gurls: We we we just playing dolls momy

***Momy: uhmm ok, next time make sure to flush the toilet after dumpin the relaxer..!!

  • Some body knows where can I buy the Sweet Almond Oil PLZ??

  • @yamilaaveo your local health foods store :) or online!

  • Girl, how often do you get a relaxer?

  • Your hair was beautiful to begin with. You definately didn't need a relaxer.

  • i had to learn how to do my own relaxer when i went to college, they're barely any black girls at my school that knows how to do a perm

  • you and ur sister look alike and are so pretty

  • lol i barely knew who was talking wen i couldnt see your mouths hehe

  • It is so funny to hear you guys talk because I think you are talking when really your sister is talking. It's nice to see sisterly love. :)

  • what was the brush called again

  • Do you and your sister live together

  • hey do u have a facebook?

  • girl that is not your mom is it? OMG when i looked at the other vids i thought she was your sister

  • @goddessoflove23 it is my sister

  • you should try walgrees, CVS, rite aid and even your grocer for disposable gloves. the grocer mighthave them by the dishwashing sectionwiththose gloves. but the other stores will have them with the medicine....like by the stuff for diabetics or rubbing alcohol....

  • Isn't it dangerous to put it on your scalp?

  • @AfroJamGal if you don't put a base on prior to relaxing it can be dangerous. otherwise, it's ok.

  • @AfroJamGal Lol..nah.

  • How often do u get relaxers i get one every 6 weeks

  • @MsGlam23 she gets it done about every 10 weeks

  • can u tell me please whats relaxing and why do u do that? thanks :)

  • @latinagriega i don't know if you already found the answer, but if you didn't, relaxing is to permanently straighten a person's curl pattern.

  • her eyes are so youthful and cute like the eyes of a baby

  • Hey I was told that if you don`t put the right amount of each solution that comes in the box in your mix that you apply to your hair that you could damage your hair. So I was really just wondering if its true or is it as simple as following the instructions?

  • Omg your voices. HAHA Aww Ii love it..

  • Love your voices, wish I had someone to help me out xx

  • its good to show all sisters relaxed or natural how to take care of their hair. this is cool!

  • hey, how old r u? just curious...

  • Your videos are the best!!!! :-)

  • OH EM GEE! I didn't look @ the name on the thumbnail and I swear I only clicked it because I thought it was a LITTLE GIRL showing how to apply a relaxer and was super curious! I was dumb-founded when it started and I realized it was YOU!!!! I'm so popping myself in the forehead right now. LOL Stop looking so young Meg!

  • Ur hair is beautiful=) ..do u oil ur scalp before u relax ur hair?

  • You do a great job with your hair Meagan, and your technique is fine. Doesn't matter how you apply it, just as long as it's not applied to already relaxed hair, left on too long, or not washed out properly! It's also good that your sister helps you, cuz I am sure holding up your arms like that for long would hurt your shoulders! LOL! I know that mine do!! I use Dr. Miracle's to relax my hair. I don't relax often, but when next I do, I will try this brand that you use. :)

  • Okay Sooo....When One is Relaxing Hair.......When Does One Start The Timer? During....Inbetween...Or After? Relaxing

  • She put oil to protect the rest of her hair from being processed. She wants prevent overlapping and overprocessing.

  • y did u put oli on ur hair? becuz iwas always told not put any type of product in ur hair, when ur readi 2put a perm in..

  • What's "relaxing" your hair?

  • @SusannaSushiSin chemicals that break down and loosen the tight and curly texture of hair.

  • @SusannaSushiSin It is a chemical treatment that relaxes the natural curl pattern of your hair. Basically it straightens curly or super thick hair.

  • @SusannaSushiSin Chemically straightening it . It is the same as "perming"

  • You guys have the cutest voices.

  • I really love your advice and your videos you are very thorough, I love that! I was watching you relax your hair in the front. I just wanted to suggest when lining your part leave the front of your hair line for last. I believe this will help with keeping the edges strong. You guys are really cute the way you interact with each other.

  • My mother has been doing my perms ever since I was old enough to get one and we always use dark and lovely it's pretty much the best perm you can use and it doesn't break your hair off I've been using it for years and my hair goes waaay down my back

  • when ii go to the salon to perm my hair they first put it on my scalp of course and then when they are getting ready to wash out the relaxer they run it through my whole head meaning they apply it to the ends as well and then wash it out . what do you do because ii will be self relaxing and dont want to do the wrong thing

  • Meg I love this relaxer to however I really love Affirm as well my stylist uses it but she has gotten a BMW and seemingly enough have gotten a little more expensive and I"M not trying to pay for nobody elses BMW so I'm going to invest in a bucket of my own affirm

  • @TheLadyC224 i agree i swear by affirm as well!!! i love it!!!! and it seems to work as my hair is nearly touching my bottom :-)

  • ROFL SHE SIAD ITS STRONG TO CLEAR MY NOSTRALS

  • youve inspired me to self relax, how many weeks post were you here b/c i dont see a whole lot of new growth, and thanks for the tip on not applying to the shaft makes so much sense thanks!

  • iM 16 and iM Gunna Start To Do My Relaxers MySelf Because They Cost 60 DOLLARS At The Salon. .Nd iM Sureee One Boxx Costs Less

  • Do you always do your own relaxers or do you sometimes go to the salon

  • hey megz can i PLEASE have your sister? Please shes so cool and funny and she can relax hair AND she can make some chicken!! THANKS :)

  • i do my own relaxer also and my hair is long and healthy , and i see a lot of people going to salon and having really short rough bad damage hair . . healthy hair is not there priority at all . i recently start using that relaxer

  • @danger069gurl

iiHave long hair and people tell me i dnt need a Relaxer iiDnt Get it ?

They Tell Meee Mi hair is going to FALL OUT Lol

Does Length Matter When Youu Relax ur Hair ?

  • @kikinija length dont matter because the relaxer is only giving your hair a permanent straight , not like it grow it . and your hair wont fall out!! people r just afraid to c something different so they try to discourage you . just give your hair a little TLC every now and then

  • @nancyyyk That sounds like a myth to me. You don't necessarily have to plait your hair to prevent it from breaking. Just cover your hair at night, with a silk or satin scarf or bonnet at night, and keep your hair moisturized, and all that good stuff.

  • I need a twin!

  • I really want to relax my own hair, I'm trying to wean myself from my stylist and start my own hair journey. I will practice with a deep conditioner first as karimajade suggested as well as leaving the ends last, but Meg, you did a great job. Two people working is much better for a first-time-relaxer-doer. I'm feeling so much more confident about it now, thanks to your video. Go 'head on, Cutie!

  • your so freakin' cute! I will like this !

  • @SuperPhdiva thanks for that tip on practicing how to self relax.

  • @786Jazzy Hi

Grease doesn't do anything for your hair or scalp. Moisturise and seal your hair & as for the dandruff try an Anti dandruff shampoo. Hope that helps xx

  • Thanks for this tutorial! I texlaxed my hair on friday after viewing this as a guide. Thank you very much!

  • question.......all dese nappy headed girls keep sayin i wear 2 much grease nd i keep sayin it jus shiny cuz i put shine in it nd im 13 nd im dark skinned but my hair cum past my sholders nd dey also say it stiff cuz it in da direction i wrapp it in only wen it need relaxed but despite dat it look nice evryday so wat do i do is grease good for hair cuz i only put it on edges cuz i get bad dandruff

  • good video...

  • @thermidor37 they are twins, she did a twin tag video you should watch its funny

  • i like this

  • where can I get that comb from? I have been looking for one everywhere and cant find one.

  • u guys are so cute how old r yall?

  • Whispering : Maybe you should close the door... LMAO

  • Hi!

What do u do if the rest of your hair goes frizzy?

  • I Love Your Videos!!!!

  • do you use a lye or no-lye relaxer?

  • I was watching how you did it.....very good job....but I remember in one of your videos you said your edges were thin....maybe the will thicken up if you use castor oil and relax your edges last.....because I believe the edges straight way quicker than the rest of your hair.....just a thought

  • you seem to have really good hair why are you putting such harsh chemicals in your hair

  • omgosh you two are so cute - like little chipmunks! LOL...but seriously you have beautiful hair. When I was your age I still had my mom doing my perms...

  • i love your sister in the back

"what is that called the applicator brush"

and then u replied yes "the applicator brush" hahahaha yall together make me laugh so hard

  • Last comment. I was always told to work fast, within the time limit my type of hair requires so that I don't end up loosing my hair. And some people don't need to do their own perms, because I've smelled the relaxer on some women and it was clear that they didn't use the neutralizing shampoo thoroughly or at all. And those same people don't have hair to speak of. The hair is still being relaxed until you use that shampoo correctly to get all of the relaxer out...

    Have a great year!

  • I was always told that you should always wear gloves while relaxing your hair. I decided to try it without gloves once, and my hands were smooth like I didn't have fingerprints anymore (just to give you an idea of what I mean), but that might be because I only use No Lye relaxer. And I was always told that I should put the relaxer around the edges first to make sure that it's straight when you are done. I didn't do that one time, and my edges looked like I didn't even relax my hair at all.

  • Coincidentally, today was the first time I've ever used that application brush. I've been relaxing my own hair since I was in the fifth grade, and I didn't know about people using that until recently. You did offer one thing that I have never done before, which is coating my hair with that oil. I think that I am going to incorporate that into my relaxing regimen...I do what both of yall do combined...I smooth it out as I go, and I run back through it again when I'm done applying the relaxer.

  • @nancyyyk what d you mean like plat it at night or while relaxing it?

  • maybe you should close the door hahah (^_^)

  • this is not self relaxing u have help

  • Ashely is really funny lol u two should do more videos together

  • Wow your way of relaxing is new to me. I will tell my mom this is what we have to do when relaxing my hair, because it's about time I start knowing how to relax my own hair. Plus my mom uses the stick in the box and not an applicator brush, I will totally invest in one. Plus the idea about the oil before relaxing is genius.

  • I like that you put oil on your whole hair to prevent overprocessing - I don't think this is done at beautician's place (I have not relaxed in years) - you are right, everyone must find out and do what method works best for their hair - great vid

  • Buddy system! That's awesome!

  • love ur hair!!!! how often do u get ur hair relaxed?

  • @stepewuoso thank every 10-12weeks

  • how often do u relax your hair

  • @blahblahblahman shes 21 and she cant help her voice, I think itz quite cute if you dont like it then move on and get some subscribers like she has

  • @blahblahblahman heard of mute? i think its cute!

  • Does it matter what oil you put in your hair before you relax? Also, would you reccommend a first timer try this, because I really want to relax my hair my self-besides letting my stylist relax my whole head

  • @tweetysweety1996 I personally dont believe matters which oil you use but it also depends on what your trying to do with the oil. but this relaxer is good

  • @ulovemegz Thanks :)

  • @tweetysweety1996 Practice by using a deep conditioner on your new growth a few times so that you can get comfortable.

  • @ulovemegz........how often do you perm the whole entire head???

  • @vixen978 i never relax my entire head I only do retouches b/c the rest of my hiar was already relaxed

  • where did you get your oil

  • @TheLika91 a whole food store

  • How Long Can You Leave In A Relaxer Before Its Starts to Burn Or So It Wont Over Process Because I Want To Start Self Relaxing And Im 13 Years Old .

  • Aww Ashley!! who cares what people say... there still watching and I <3 yall :) lol

  • okay i got a relaxer in oct.14..when should i get another one.. i mean my hair isn't really extremely nappy but itz getting there

  • @MegaKmckenzie there is not specific time when your "supposed" to get a retouch but I do know that anything after 8weeks for a retouch is okay but stretching is recommended so its up too you if you wish to relax or not. You have done a good stretch

  • what did you use to detangle your hair?

  • @seriousbizniz03 with my black comb that i showed in the video

  • hey meqz please answer this question .

how do you keep your naps layed down and nice because you can tell i need a perm and with you you cant tell your hair is oiled and looks soft. so how do you keep it looking so nice after 10 weeks? thanks meqz

  • @Sunshinebeauty15 I really dont have an answer. But i think it just may have something to do w/ my hair type and then again keeping your hair conditioned and moisturized may help

  • @ulovemegz i understand and what type of hair my i ask ? and thank you

i absoulty love your videos also !!! much lovee.

  • @Sunshinebeauty15 like i dont have coarse hair so my edges dont really kink up

  • i'm going to relax my hair over a week, and it's is the third time i'm going to relax it. my hair is still not straight], so do you recommend to only do the roots or all my hair?

  • @Maar501 yes only your roots but if you can you may need to see a stylist to make sure its not underprocessed

  • How do you rinse out your hair without tangling it ?

  • @lilypad7995 rinse it out in the shower with my hair going in one direction

  • youre adorable :-)

  • hi! so, i was wondering (and please don't take any offense, i just don't know how you would prefer me say it as a lot of people feel differently) if a person who is not african american (black) could use this relaxer? i'm indian so i was wondering if there is any difference because of hair type?

  • @Seemari don't do it! relaxer like this chemical one are made for the hairstructur of black people. ur hair will break off ur scalp will take burns away and the hair that is left will look gross and unhealthy. if u need information on that go ask a hairstylist to tell u if and if yes which relaxer ur able to use. save ur money and go get a kreatin treatment!

  • How often do you relax? It looks like you could have waited a little bit longer. Trust me, I used to relax when I saw the slightest amount of new growth; my hair got really thing over time. I've been natural now for about a year and a half now. My hair is way more thicker now.

  • @blcherki every 12 weeks

  • are you mix

  • @Kimiko123ful no im not

  • also everytime i get a perm it burns, its like im programmed to scratch right before, which sucks because then my hair dresser might have to take it out too soon, smh

  • my hair is veryyy thick, do you think the olive oil perm is a good choice? does it dry out your hair and is it strong enough? my hair is thicker than yours so im not sure

  • What age did you get your first perm?

  • @Msdeezy1 14

  • For touch ups do you just use one box of relaxer? or two?

  • @lalalachica87 just one

  • recommendations for good relaxers...? What other types does ORS have besides normal? I'm not sure what to use, right now I use Proclaim Hair Relaxer Medium for Fine hair

  • @ShamaraLofton i personally cant say about other relaxers b/c i only use organic root stimulator relaxer but im sure you can go on some of the hair boards and look up some relaxers that other people use

  • what is that you use sweet almond oil first so it wont process your hair than you put the relaxer. i'am still learning. please explain again where i can understand. please respond soon.

  • @toobeeme100 yes its used as a barrier to prevent me from overlapping

  • you guys have the most adorable voices :)

  • when you use this relaxer does it take u a long time to rinse it out b/c when i use this it take forever to get it out. could i be doin something wrong b/c i mean i had to wash so many times. and the neutralizing shampoo kept comin out pink.

  • @soontobewifey421 no its not hard to rinse out for me

  • Ashley, ignore the discouranging comments, u all are great, wish my sis was like that.

  • @justin1fan3 did what break my hair?

  • @ulovemegz How long have you used Organic Rt Stim?

  • @sandroeleven a lil over 2yrs

  • @ulovemegz - lol shes talking about the relaxer...

  • how long do you wait after a relaxer before you wash your hair? and would your first wash after a relaxer be a co-wash or shampoo wash?

  • do you base your scalp? if you do with what? plase & thank you

  • @3bf4eva one more question, do you do a protein treatment the week b4 u do a relaxer 2 get ur hair ready? i've seen a lot of ladies who do & i was just wondering if you did 2. once again please & thank you :)

  • @3bf4eva sometimes I do it before but most of the time I do it after

  • "what's the applicator brush called? an applicator brush?"

    too cute!

  • do you use lye or no lye? people say lye is better for hair but bad for the scalp and no lye good for the scalp but bad for the hair

  • @finegirl1993 no lye

  • Your sister is absolutely adorable lmao! and funny.

  • Two people working at the same time to minimize burning and over processing is a really great approach to relaxing hair. My only concern was when you put the relaxer on your hairline early on. You should leave it for last (like during the last few minutes of processing time), your edges will thank you lol... Other than that, this is a really neat idea and i'm definitely going to try this when i'm ready to relax my hair again.. Take care :) P.S. I LOVE YOUR HAIR!

  • I Like Both Of Yallz Voice

  • Comment removed

  • how often do u relax ur hair, or how often should one relax their hair???

  • @smithotious its believe that it should be relaxed after 8 weeks...anything under 8 weeks can cause over processing

  • What brand is the almond oil?

  • @PiLL0WFRANk now personal care

  • lol i like ur voice :D

  • I didn't mean it as a bad thing lol x

  • y'all got the same damn voice lol its squeaky
