You're wearing one of those neutron/proton balance bracelets. Were you ever fat? Show us a picture of your ol' fat self. What success have you had with weightloss?
Greg, I mentioned to my fiance that he should love everything that goes into his mouth, and he replied "But baby I only LOVE chips, chocolate, fries, and gravy."
He doesn't need to lose weight, I just thought it was an interesting point. What then? What if all someone loves to eat is crap?
You're right people are switching plans like crazy but I feel its because people are SO lost when it comes to figuring out the mystery of how to lose the weight. Liking the food you're eating is something I learned three months into my journey when i was eating tomatoes for every meal for two weeks and gained weight because on the night before I weighed-in I snapped b/c I HATE THE DAMN THINGS. Great video!
what your saying about making sure your blood sugar doesnt drop is exactly what im doing and I eat a fraction of what I used to... and im dropping lbs!
It totally floors me now to look back and see the amount and the type of crap I put in my mouth constantly!
Your body is a car... and it needs fuel. Do you want better performance? Eat higher grade foods. I want my body to be a porch 911 targa and I wont stop till its there!
One thing that stood out to me in this video.. Is eating every 2-3 hrs as you mentioned is very important. And I think it is a huge key to your sucess.
I had to favorite this video because it is so important to me. I always struggle with weight loss when I am on the go. I feel like I have only recently began to grasp the importance of planning and packing foods when I am out and about for a huge portion of the day! I would actually get depressed when I was "dragged" out of my house by my boyfriend or friends and felt completely helpless when it came to food and weight loss! Man, I was a prisoner to my weight loss plan! Thank you so much <3
I totally agree....I see lots of videos of people who are doing certain eating plans and they don't even have a reason for it, they don't believe in it, they are doing it because other people did it and it worked. I think the best plan is the plan that each individual person creates for themselves. Whether it be totally original or bits and pieces of others......adapt it to your own lifestyle!!
I'm in vet school in the Caribbean so the food supply varies all the time (sometimes there's no carrots for over a month, for example). But I still eat healthy everyday and I work with what's available to me each time I go grocery shopping.
Also, have you ever considered P90X? I think you would enjoy it! I'm on Day 135 :)
great points. except for the never being hungry part. feeling hunger is an important part of getting back in touch with hunger signals- which is why most of us got to be overweight. as a person who has struggled with food for years, allowing myself to feel hunger has been a key part. i know it can be terrifying and horrible to many people. but when you can allow yourself to feel safe enough to feel hunger, you'll be a lot more in tune with your body.
Being hungry for too long makes you lose muscle mass though, and I am trying to build muscle mass. So I know once I start feeling hungry I need to eat or I will lose the size I worked so hard for!
i agree that going hungry for an extended amount of time is not a good idea at all! you just said that you eat when you feel hungry, which is great! i was just responding to the comment in the vid that he never gets hungry. hunger is not the enemy, overeating and inactivity is. in order to stay at the ideal weight/lose weight one needs to be in tune with their body and feel hunger in order to accurately respond. we have the sensation for a reason!
I think you took my message wrong, actually. Going hungry to the point of your blood sugar getting low for a lot of people is a danger zone in which you may grab for anything.
There is a difference between feeling hungry and going hungry.
at 4:35 you say that you are never ever hungry. feeling hungry does not equal super low blood sugar.
from your reply, we are saying the same thing. just an issue of semantics from the video comment. many people who struggle with weight, including me, seem to forget the difference. regulating blood sugar is a key part of reaching a healthy weight.
true...true...true... me= weak, weak, weak, but I am getting there... it's not chocolate or so, it is just not staying strong and dedicated the whole time ....well...
thanks for keeping inspiring me. you're the one person i turn to when i need that nudge to keep on track. please keep on making these videos, we need them :)
i know this might sound a bit rude, but Greg, you lost your weight don't you think it's time for your kitties to do the same? :)
I prepare my lunch everyday, today is brocolii & cheese and chicken, I love my food plan that works for me, I am happy with the food, its a not a problem for me, exercise is a must, which I can and will do regular.
I ate out all weekend, stayed on my plan(low carb) and was just as happy and simple for me. I am not depriving myself at all. Tonight is low carb spaghetti
I am a busy lady, but meal planning is important because getting healthy is #1 on my list.
this was a great video! I honestly think people (myself included) use being busy/unscheduled things as an excuse to eat poorly when really you can eat (almost) exactly what you want wherever you are. I think you had the success you did because you were committed and you weren't looking for an excuse to go off plan.

Very good points. Believing in a plan is important, but believing that you can stick to it is even more so.
