I bought a KCI (korean) mag and my springs are TOO tight. I can't get more than 12 rounds in it, and I'm not kidding at all. I'm probably going to have to return it (the place I bought it from has a bullshit restocking fee of 15%) unbelievable.

Korean beta's are not " utter shit ". In fact, they work great at half the price.....They were used in the Sons Of Guns show when they built the Tri M16.....

@MrDLRu Red Jacket Firearms aren't as great as "Sons of Guns" make them, that's why there main selling gun is the Saiga-12, likely the most customizable shotgun system. And yes, he is right, Korean ones do have weak springs. They work, but you'll encounter many feeding problems.

what is ol? are you talking about oil? Yes you can take the strings out. but the mag will not function properly without them, they are what keep the rounds all lined up.

I still don't understand what allows it to feed without causing FTF issues with the two drums meeting in a T junction. I learned that the hard way plumbing two sinks, thought I make a shortcut and used a T joint followed by a single elbow...then I realized I can't use the two sinks in the same time. Oh, by dummy rounds do you mean snap caps? Springs don't wear out too much in compression, its the cycling that does. BUT...a spring kept in compression for about 30+ years will fail, like my Vz24

I noticed the brass on those .223 cartridges are nickel-plated. I've heard that nickel-plated brass cartridges feed better and more reliably. Is this true?

And what I mean by special bolt, I bought a seperate bolt just for the C mags to see if they cause damage. I heard on Beta C if you start seeing your bolt inprinting the bolt face on the casing, your bolt is under extreme stress from the C mag and you need to stop using immediately. Ill stick with my MagPul P mags over these mags any day.

I have Korean and Beta mags and the KCI 100 dollar cheaper works better than my Beta C, the spring isn't under pressured, from what I read they were over pressured. I have fired 4K rounds threw my KCI and 3500 threw Beta and my beta had more issues than the KCI. If you buy either be careful it really depends on your weapon, some over gased weapons don't cycle well with either mags. Also I read it has caused damage to bolts. I haven't had issues and I have a special bolt for these mags.

Aren't the black backings just as dirty as the clear backings, the only difference is you can see the dirt and oil buildiup on the clear ones.. which is a good thing, right?  It means you need to CLEAN YOUR MAG.
