The Music Industry does not want any song with a Message thats points to God through Jesus Christ. Why do you think if RCA and Elvis Presley Concert workers had there way Elvis Presley would only song Rock and Roll Songs and no Gospel,Inspirational and Ballad Songs.

What is wrong with WEA / WMG?. For heaven's sake they need to get real. This is 2009 not 1979 (when this track was a single by the way). Listening to it on here actually made me search out the best of CD by ED & JFC. They got a sale out of me hearing it here.
Since they removed the sound track i had originally on it, they would not even display my Vid without me choosing a replacement Sound Track from a list that was provide by Youtube and i just picked it from that list.

This a great track. Are folks aware that the title is (most likely) inspired by a fantastic painting by Holman Hunt. Check it out, its amazing. I saw it in St Pauls Cathedral (London). It was positioned so that the mid morning sun hit it full on. Amazing!

I dont understand why it is that todays songwriters cant do music this good. I know times change and all, and maybe I'm just showing my age, but there doesnt seem to be any memorable melodies or harmonies in today's written music.
I need to listen to this more often. Prior posts asked what happened to the our carefree days. We now live in a world of envy,selfishness,materialism,and fear. When these feelings start,I think of this song and try to remember to be thankful for the things I have,others,charity,and at least an effort to understand those in unfortunate/desperate circumstances (self inflicted,environment,or poor choices)with compassion.

Yes, I know that Todd Rundgren wrote this and so many other beautiful songs on his own productions. The song gives me such a good feeling that is partly nostalgic for the time of its release. This and many other wonderful songs from that and other eras are part of what keeps me going today.
Easy times, still a measure of innocense to be had. This song was one of those I drove around town listening to with my first love. Back in the 70's it was a great time to be in high school when we never had to worry about guns or violence. Just a light breezy time full of hope for ourselves and the world. What happened people? when was it taken from us? Did we create this world we now live in or is there some evil cloud sweeping over us. Take a stand before its too late.

I dont understand why it is that todays songwriters cant do music this good. I know times change and all, and maybe I'm just showing my age, but there doesnt seem to be any memorable melodies or harmonies in today's written music.

I need to listen to this more often. Prior posts asked what happened to the our carefree days. We now live in a world of envy,selfishness,materialism,and fear. When these feelings start,I think of this song and try to remember to be thankful for the things I have,others,charity,and at least an effort to understand those in unfortunate/desperate circumstances (self inflicted,environment,or poor choices)with compassion.
I've come to believe that most of us are good at heart, like you and me.

Such a great song! There aren't songs like this anymore. Listening to this song brings back memories. The quality of today's song on the radio is crap. I remember listening to this song on the radio as a kid and I could never get the words right,(LoL) but the words I understood & sung was: Love is the answer. I guess those words are universal...even in today's society. Today's music has NO creativity, quality, or originality. It's a shame. Video to this song is very touching. Great job!

I have to agree with everyone, I loved this song in the 70's and then when Cindy Morgan redid it in the 90's... it's a beautiful song and it's actually been on my mind while doing volunteer work. It's inspiring to reach out to those around us who need an extra hand.

Yes, I know that Todd Rundgren wrote this and so many other beautiful songs on his own productions. The song gives me such a good feeling that is partly nostalgic for the time of its release. This and many other wonderful songs from that and other eras are part of what keeps me going today.

Easy times, still a measure of innocense to be had. This song was one of those I drove around town listening to with my first love. Back in the 70's it was a great time to be in high school when we never had to worry about guns or violence. Just a light breezy time full of hope for ourselves and the world. What happened people? when was it taken from us? Did we create this world we now live in or is there some evil cloud sweeping over us. Take a stand before its too late.

i heard this song the day we brought our younger daughter home from the hospital. it has always reminded me of her. and 13 yrs later, the song describes her perfectly. she cares so much for other people, their feelings and if they are safe. such a beautiful soul and person. we are so blessed that god gave her to us.
