i think new Vegas and 3 were almost the same (same meaning: how good they are). The third was better gameplay wise, but new Vegas has a lot of little things i like that the third didn't have. like music, the dessert , a few weapons, ect.

Fallout 1 is awesome. I love the turn-based combat and story. But I can't stand the timer. I hate games that give you a time limit. Probably why I'll never finish Majora's Mask. Fallout 3 was the first one I played. Some people call it Oblivion with guns, but what's wrong with that. Oblivion was an AMAZING game. Regardless of controls, the Wasteland is one of the most unique settings I've ever seen in an RPG. And S.P.E.C.I.A.L is a great leveling system, too. Fallout 2 is pretty good, I hear.

In other words: No turnbased bullcrap and you should be able to shoot and walk where you hold you cursor in real time. And yes I know that this game has no Real Time controls, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't have them. In my opinion that is.

@killerbumble If you played all the other Fallouts, the only thing it does is bring the world into 3D. It's missing the intellect and wit of the first two games, then combined with Michael Bay style storytelling (more explosions, giant robots, nevermind that the lazy story doesn't make sense). The RPG elements are quite vapid, and the First person shooter aspects and gameplay are mediocre.

I'd give it a 7/10. And that's being generous.

1. making the games noises secondary, it's hard to tell what both of you are saying at the same time.
