If Cassius had fallen in the pit backwards and flipped themselves out again, just think how different robotwars would have been as far as the pit is concerned.
I was SOOOO gutted when Cassius drove into the pit!!! Cassius could of been the champions easy. And even more upset they lost to pussycat! :( Cassius 2 VS Chaos 2 that would be EPIC!
You know in all of Robot Wars history I don't think anyone ever made the painfully obvious "this pussycat always lands on it's feet" comment. It just always seemed like a Jonothan Pearce thing to do but he never did.
@danielfennessey He protested about lack of safety precautions after a few accidents in the pits during seasons 2 and 3, hence why he chose not to return.
I just realised watching the fight Pussycat narrowly avoided the pit; you see it bump upwards when the wheel went across the corner of the pit, while dodging Cassius II.
Such a shame for Cassius II; and we'll never ever know how they would have done. We also won't see more of it's abilities; only saw that deadly spike once too. Would've loved to see it self-right; it would've been different as it's more powerful.
I only have to Wonder How Mick Cutter Reacted when he not only realized he drove into the pit, but also that he left a team that would be UK Champions...twice.
You can't buy any Robotwars in Europe either. I think they released 5 DVDs. 4 specials on Chaos 2, Hypnodisc, Razer and the Houserobots. The fifth was The First World Championship. Not likely to be released either.
@BBCRobotwarsUK The American ones are worth watching too, I remember having a 2 vhs box of the first championships (UK) and the American equivalent, both were stunning to watch and a fair few american machines came to the UK during Robotwars' time :) Good thing is that the sport still lives on, it just isn't televised.
Bait and Switch from Pussycat. Classic.

I love the walker battles. Not cause they're so suspenseful (sarcasm) but because right when they meet, they get torn apart by the House Robots XD

I wonder who would have won out of Cassius 2 and the series 3 version of Firestorm.
Gavin17259 10 months ago
Honestly? I don't think Cassius would have beaten Scutter's Revenge even if they'd beaten Pussycat.
Look at the difference in ground clearance, Cassius would never get under it.

Why didn't Cassius come back in series 4?
Gavin17259 1 year ago
@Gavin17259 Rex left because the safety in the pits wasn't good enough. a robot went out of control during the third wars.
