hmmm I think according to the position of the fan, the air is trapped and cant get out, maybe causing a heat buildup, or is it blowing away from the motor? If not, move your fan back.

I heard they already had the ESCs, two different ones, a standard one (6 LiPo max) and a HV one (12 LiPo) similar to their Phoenix-HV ESCs. But they were having problems finding a motor that met their expectations. I guess they're a 'quality-oriented' company, the type who would rather put out a good product tommorow than a mediocre product yesterday.
Well the 'mamba max' isn't really made for anything over 1/10th scale stadium truck. This setup won't even hit 30mph on the grass, it was really just an experiment to show it could be done.
I have the Novak hv 4.5 system on my e-maxx and am not happy with it. It doesn't seem to be much faster then stock and had to send it back for replacement. How do you like your set up?

If you are on-road and don't have to deal with debris or dirt, you can get airflow by putting some holes in the body.

This was 12V fans wired direct to the battery, right out of the deans plugs just like the ESC.

For every 10 minutes of runtime, you lose between 30-60 seconds of runtime, this setup uses about 20W power overall.

Novak 4.5 HV Brushless system hits 45mph+. put Lipos it will porbaly hit 55mph+..
