thes people are funny......they did it because the avalanches had been coming over the road constantly and they had allready cleared the road with equipment and it kept getting covered over, and was too dangerous to fuck with, and then there was enough snow to threaten alot ofthings, not just the road.......thats why they did it,lol jesus
the reason they caused it is that they want to do it themselfs, they warn all ppl that they will shoot the avalanche. if they dont do it like this, its a big chans that some skier will trigger the avalanche when they havnt warn the ppl living there.
People dont survive ones that big 99.9% of the time. And they were doing that because they dont want some random skier or snowboarder to hike up there and get caught in one of those so they do that for safety purposes. Also so its safe to walk below that area of flow.
The first track is Baaba Maal titled "Dunya Salam" from the album "1 Giant Leap". Yes, it's on Itunes. I had a hard time finding it too. It was worth it.
I am enjoying this a lot. I know that you posted the artists for your background, but would you mind giving the song titles. I have got to go and find those CD's. Thanks!!
Have been through Ophir a number of times. This is the best vid I have ever seen of the power of an avalance, to the point of moving up the other side of the valley.

Or trying to save the uh.... town? They don't do control work for a skier or boarder in no mans land.
eldorado1369 4 years ago
they do it so they can have one that they have control over before there is a natural one that wipes out the town
