  • whats the name of hte song plz

  • song 1 Baaba Maal song 2 Kruder and Dorfmeister

  • thes people are funny......they did it because the avalanches had been coming over the road constantly and they had allready cleared the road with equipment and it kept getting covered over, and was too dangerous to fuck with, and then there was enough snow to threaten alot ofthings, not just the road.......thats why they did it,lol jesus

  • yo whats up Judah, it's mikey pounds. this vid is sweet. I'd a thought you'd have some parasailing stuff up? props again.

  • super sweet video

  • They just recently had to do the same thing in December 2007... I wonder if anyone has a video?

  • Really great video!

  • the music at the beginning what is that ?

  • a track from "one giant leap", sweet movie/music

  • that was alrite i guess

  • nice and mellow, very beautiful. liked both songs, i could have watched an hour of that...

  • I liked the first song, what was it?

  • Wauw! If got no words for this! Lovely!

  • love it

  • How does anyone survive those? Y were they causing the avalanches?

  • the reason they caused it is that they want to do it themselfs, they warn all ppl that they will shoot the avalanche. if they dont do it like this, its a big chans that some skier will trigger the avalanche when they havnt warn the ppl living there.

    sry for my bad english

  • i actually thought that was pretty good.

  • People dont survive ones that big 99.9% of the time. And they were doing that because they dont want some random skier or snowboarder to hike up there and get caught in one of those so they do that for safety purposes. Also so its safe to walk below that area of flow.

  • Or trying to save the uh.... town? They don't do control work for a skier or boarder in no mans land.

  • they do it so they can have one that they have control over before there is a natural one that wipes out the town

  • pure power!nice vid man...

  • hey im going to telluride in a couple weeks looking for someone to ride with up on the slopes that knows their stuff

  • I'm from Massachusetts but a kid from y town died in an avalanche in Utah 2 days ago... I had to check it out for myself, theses things are terrible

  • that white virgin slope on the top, so beautiful, but so dangerous...

  • That little house got wasted around the 5:11 mark... lol

  • Thanks guys, I appreciate it!!

  • The first track is Baaba Maal titled "Dunya Salam" from the album "1 Giant Leap". Yes, it's on Itunes. I had a hard time finding it too. It was worth it.

  • The second section of music is the Sofa Surfers off their CD "See The Light." It's the first cut <Sofa Rocker (Richard Dorfmeister mix)>

  • Babba Maal on the first track and Kruder Dorfmeister on the second. Glad you guys are enjoying this.

  • I am enjoying this a lot. I know that you posted the artists for your background, but would you mind giving the song titles. I have got to go and find those CD's. Thanks!!

  • fantastic footage.

  • Awesome video, whos that on the background track?

  • Man water is cool or what.

  • Have been through Ophir a number of times. This is the best vid I have ever seen of the power of an avalance, to the point of moving up the other side of the valley.

  • You're welcome!

  • Anyone know the artist and title of the song track in this video? Thank you.

  • Did you ever find out who the artist or song title ?

  • Nope... still hoping someone posts it.

  • very cool

  • Sweet jeebus!
