First of all, CoB's first 3 albums were great, technical, original and stayed true to keeping the "black metal influences" in the music. HCDC was mediocre, had a few good songs. At this time, Alexi WAS an amazing guitarist and musician, he studied classical music for years and incorporated it into his music. AYDY was the beginning of their downfall where they decided to drop the classical and BM influences to appeal to a bigger and more poser like fan base in order to make money.

I don't get why a Children of Bodom is being compared to Stormlord, they have nothing in common. Both bands rock, but atleast Stormlord doesn't have to get smashed to play live.
