@ANDJ101 Nope, white keycaps are not translucent. Light will only shine around the keycaps, not through the letters.

Yes, people who know how to type can type the letters, but you need a backlit keyboard for the numbers and symbols and function keys and all those little keys that barely get used. Yes it took a long time (and some hair), but after all it's worth it. I type most of the time in the dark, and without a backlit keyboard you're doomed.

What do you mean ? The keys ? You probably never saw a german keyboard layout, "z" and "y" are switched, and extra keys for the umlauts. Also the return key is bigger. Wait until you see a russian layout ;-)

The old alu mb had an bto for backlight, if I remember right. So maybe this would be way easier to do - you even could find an connector for the backlight. But this is all speculation, because I've never seen an alu mb form the inside.

Every 6 month they refresh their computer so yeah it's hard to keep the track. I bought my white macbook 2 month before they release the aluminium one, well now I want a new white macbook. Lets see this : My macbook white/New macbook white same price ; Combodrive/Superdrive, 1GO RAM/2GO RAM, 120HD/160HD, Intel GMA X3100/ Nvidia 9400M.
