U know as a tenniis fan i have to say there's really no weakness in Vera's game besides her mental strength. Such a complete player. I love her backhand and movement!

@iloveakeys01 i dont know. she seems really sweet and tough, but watch her when shes stretched out on the forehand. she cant defend with good squash slices except when she has enough time. somebody like serena can do those all day long but doesnt have too anyway, she just attacks. i think it probably is because of veras bodytype (real skinny) and maybe her hand dominance. beautiful lady though. pretty eyes. kind of has a backswing like lleyton hewitt, and game too. his eyes arent so cool tho:)

Bartoli got her revenge in Beijing later that year. She came back from 3-6 1-5 to beat Zvonareva 3-6 7-5 6-2 in the quarters. ALLEZ MARION!

Seriously, this is probably my favourite Vera match, she played fantastic aggressive tennis from the baseline and made practically no errors. She was pretty much impenetrable from the baseline both on attack and defence. She didn't hit Bartoli off the court, she just out-played her, and used great variety to wear her down. Her superior condition also worked wonders in the heat, and she looked great in that outfit.

i think vera would've made much better competition for serena in the final than dinara that year. what a blowout she ended up...

@alexanderchichi Nobody cares about the money they made off court, maybe you and some others. That's where Sharapova makes most of that and it's the damn truth. I don't even hate Sharapova, i think she's a great girl and a great champion. But stop making her like she's God because she earns a lot of money. I don't care about much money Serena earns , i care about her great play and her tennis results. It's her money and it's not mine. so your opinion is not everybody's.

@kevin12061989 You're are absolutely right. Even if I am a Sharapova fan , I know that Serena has a lot more titles than her and she is better than Sharapova. Sharapova won't probably be able to win 10 more grand slams but she is still a great player and I hope that she will be soon able to beat Serena even though ( in the whole carrier) Serena is better tahn Maria ^^ But anyway forget it and enjoy the tennis :)

Of course not, it comes from the blond-hairedness and blue eyes, we both know it. While we are at it, does she give you a little bit of that money as you try to celebrate that? While you're at it, Serena is the richest sportswoman in history when it comes to money earned on court and you know what? I don't care because she's good at tennis

@kevin12061989 there is another fact: no matter how many matches maria losses, she still makes way more dollars than serena does, annually. and she s still adored by world fans that is 1 million times more than serena. and you should know, nowadays, no matter how bad the economy is, ppl are still willing to take more dollars outta their pockets to watch maria play, and they need more than a decade to ponder whether they should go see a match of serena, even though the tickets are way cheaper.
