I've owned several cars in the past. I still own my 97 Jeep wrangler. The reason why it runs so great is because of its ultra simple design. Compact, little electrical components and a cast Iron flat 6 engine. Its a dream to drive off road. Super strong, I can get into places that hummers can't because of its size yet versatility.
@TheGr8scott When I was in the market for a winch went on craigslist and someone had paid off half and never went to pick it up so I went there offered the guy the other half and picked it up :)
I have the 2002 Apex edition as well!---- did you do all of the upgrades from your stock set-up? if so, howd you go about deciding what upgrades and from where?
So i just got a XRC 12 winch and a snorkel. never once occured to me that the winch solenoid could get water damage till after i bought the shit. how do you deal with that problem?
On December 24 at 8:00 in the morning,a young 14 year old boy by the name of Scott Johnson was found died.Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of his death. His mother checked his email to see if she could figure out what happened.Turns out he was still signed into myspace. She found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn't repost a chain letter. If you don't repost this to six videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight.Sorry don't want to die
Hey man what do you think about adding a catback, superchip, headers and cold air intake to add power and fuel efficency to my 2000 sahara? does all that stuff really help or what?keep hearing different things...thanx bro awesome jeep by the way

bad ass.. haven't gotten mine in the snow yet but I haven't been able to get stuck anywhere yet. maybe there is something out there that jeeps can't get threw?
@ChristianJames6759 I like them when I had them, but I changed over to the bfg m/t km2's and i have to say they wear alot better quieter on road and sidewall is much stronger and clean better in the mud. But they are also more expensive lol.. But firestone makes one hell of a product, and also the destinations were better in the snow. hope that helps.
@SChiaradonna i have them now and their kickass. i had the km1s, but the firestones are better than thoughs. its funny, i have a 4" superlift suspension lift and an ected locker front and i have the power plant winch and the safari snorkel. almost the same exact jeep:)
@SChiaradonna what do you think about a catback, headers, superchips and cold air intake to improve power on a 2000 jeep sahara? does that shit really work, hearing different from everybody. Thanx man and awesome jeep!
@SChiaradonna Kinda like my older bro. Works as a plumber and owns 2 Harley's an atv, a home worth 250k bought a truck brand new in 04' and in 09 bought a brand new mustang gt.
You simply cannot beat a Jeep from a 4 x 4 value proposition. I've owned 4 and all have been bullet proof, capable, and reasonably inexpensive to maintain. Aftermarket support is matched only by Mustang and Corvette and minor mods net huge gains in performace. I'm running 35s and a 3" lift on my 2008 JK [less than $1K installed] and will outwheel FJs and Land Rovers with $5K+ in mods. Love my Jeep
@richardmhuse Its a stock exhaust.. the one you hear in the video is prolly that of the cherokee thats in the last clip. He just had a straight pipe. But my Jeep is completely stock engine/exhaust wise.
thanks for the info... i just bought a 2006 TJ.. i swiched from a chevy and i love the Jeep... with the 30 inch tires on the my stock wrangler, it will go so many places my S-10 on 33's wouldent go... I cant wait to start moding my new jeep i can only imanage it can go anywhere
Hey im ghassan (gah-san) and im about to purchase a 2004 jeep wrangler the trim is se or s sport or x and im wondering if when im on road like on the way to school is the drive quiet if i have a hard top or is it anoying and if i have a soft top does it constantly get cold in winter so i have to use the heat constantly just some ?s to a jeep owner thanks and your jeep looks pretty beast how much have you spent on mods total?
@metalirocz28 I recently purchased the new BF Goodrich M/T KM2's and they are phenomenal. Quiet on the highway GREAT off-road and last winter we had over 6' foot of snow and the tires didn't struggle one bit. By far the best tire I have ever had.
@SChiaradonna thank you. what do you plan to pull with the winch a freight train. you could pull your jeep and 5 others up a tree and hang there all night. are you runnin a ham radio or cb . I run a ham radio. how long did it take you to do the build . nice jeep did it come with the D44? fun in the snow.
@kowz4u Build took about a little over one summer between me and my dad. Got the winch for half the cost so couldnt pass it up. I know its overkill but never hurts lol. And i run a cb radio, and no the dana 44 did not come with it... AWESOME in the snow!
@SChiaradonna nuttin is over kill just bad ass. I have had my TJ for a little over a year. I have to save every penny nickel dime and quarter. for my build.I have put skidrow skid plates under her they have saved me a lot of money already. I run a ham radio. the winch is next. then the lift than at least one locker. my friends have named it the iguana . with a name like that well it better climb like one. happy jeeping =) OllllllO
@SChiaradonna yeah i'm pretty sure they come 31 x 10.5. i've been looking for a good tire for my cherokee. i've seen how these tires do offroad, but how about onroad?
@NortonAntivirusable If your are thinking about buying a Tj the Rubicon is the best. The Sport with the I6, manual transmission and rear Dana44 is second best. I'm really happy with my 03 Tj sport, but I could do it again I would have bought a Rubi...
@NortonAntivirusable ive got a pretty good understanding of them. CJ's were the first civilian jeep. then there were the YJ's until 1995. then the TJ's are from 1997 to like 2006 i beleive. then the jks are the newest. sahara, sport and x. these are just the packages i guess u could say tht u can get on a jeep. the sport and sahara have 6 cylinder engines. the sahara has nicest interior (for a jeep) i hope this answers ur questioin chris
nice jeep i have a question about the ox locker. i like how there cable operated cause its like mechanically locking the lockers if u no what i mean. but how big is the engagement lever? it looks small in the pics but they make it sound as big as the 4wd shifter. and also, where did you put ur lever at? thanks, chris
Outstanding video and a very nice jeep. what size tires are those? how wide are those fender flares? I just bought the same front bumper as yours but with four loops. how wide is ur front bumper? 54 or 59? I would love to drive in the snow, i am in florida, maybe one day
@SChiaradonna Great i have 33x12.5 too, and i just ordered the widest bushwacker flares so hopefully they will cover all of the tire. Why do u say u should have gotten the 54" bumper? i got the 59" too
@SChiaradonna nice wrangler man but i got a question ive heard if a 4" lift is installed would a slip yoke eliminator also have to be installed as well and a transfer case drop kit?
@SChiaradonna you dont need to run a transfer case drop with the sye and dc driveshaft, that would defeat the purpose of having a sye and dc driveshaft in the first place
@09adge13 no you wont if you get a 4.5 lift you either need a sye or a tcase drop you dont need both the sye is a better choice it bulks up the tcase with a 32spline but i still just run a 2in tcase drop its cheaper
Thats truly a clean prett jeep. my jeep is barley a jeep any more with the 350 and 3/4 ton axles. It is pretty much a truck now. I love it for most wheeling but on trails now i'm now near as good. And i didn't shorten the axles so it's now the prettiest thing on 37's around.
hey tbomb...if ur on a tight budget and want lockers...weld ur gears together!! free lockers!! haha yea it will work, but everytime u turn on concrete, it will be like..er er er er er er er er until u get straight hahaha. oh and put ur locker in ther front, since they are weaker than the rear when it comes to 4 wheel drive. alos get some balck rims...no matter what color ur jeep is, black rims ALWAYS looks better.
Nice video, I have a question.. You have front and rear lockers, I'm on a tight budget and wanting to put a locker in my 97 TJ Sport. It would be quite some time before I could afford to put in a second locker. SO my question to you is this, in your opinion and from your experience, If you could have only one locker in your Jeep would you have put it in front or back? Thanks
@Tbomb187 I would put in the back.. that way you can run it all the time.. wheeling. even on the road so dont have to get otu and lock it everytime ur gona wheel it.
@Tbomb187 I would get a selectable in the front.. like an arb or an ox.. cause 95% of the obstacles your gonna come across your front wheels are gonna have to go over first and pull you through. But thats just my mind set.
hey man nice Jeep heres an idea on what my buddy did take the fender flares off cut them in the rear and then put tube fenders up front... just a thought he has about a 4.5in lift and hes running a 36's so yeah keep on jeepin... OllllllllO
holy crap anybody know what 4.10s are at? i've got stock 3.02s and i hate em. at 55 or so im at 1400rpm. oh yeah is your speedo calibrated? with my 33's my speedo is about 7 mph under what i'm accually going so if it says 40 im really going like 47.
the only thing recommended is a slip yoke eliminator for anything above 4 inches...And dont do a body lift ...they are gay..get some coil spacers. They are 200 bucks.
Small body lifts look fine...and are commonly used with a motor mount lift to eliminate vibes. Not to mention, they work good for a lil extra tire clearance in addition to a coil spacer or spring lift. I agree anything over about 1 inch BL looks pretty shitty though.
Hey i have a 2000 4.0 sport an i dont have the money for a suspension lift right now so im looking to get just a simple 1 inch. body lift.. if i get the body lift will i have to also install a motor mount or will it be fine?
@leosforlife im not 100% sure im not big into lifts and yet i dont even have one but. i believe i heard that you will have to get a motor mount after 4 inches of lift. im not sure if its suspension or body lift. but just research on it and dont take my word for it cause im not exactly sure.
You do not NEED a MML after 4 inches of lift. You can and it will help with the driveline vibes a bit. But either a TC drop or a SYE/CV will eliminate any driveline vibes you get.
A MML is nessesary for most tummy tucks and is also good practice when installing a BL, to ensure no modifications to the fan shroud or shifter(if u have a manual tranny)
Great jeep, gets you to work, and over just about anything else you will ever encounter. How is the Ected as a daily driving Diff? I see that it locks properly, how is the limited slip factor?

54 or 59? I would love to drive in the snow, i am in florida, maybe one day
fahadtango 1 year ago
@fahadtango the tires are 33x12.5 the fender flares are the smaller of the bushwacker and the bumper is 59" but shoulda went with the 54"
SChiaradonna 1 year ago
@SChiaradonna Great i have 33x12.5 too, and i just ordered the widest bushwacker flares so hopefully they will cover all of the tire. Why do u say u should have gotten the 54" bumper? i got the 59" too
fahadtango 1 year ago
@SChiaradonna nice wrangler man but i got a question ive heard if a 4" lift is installed would a slip yoke eliminator also have to be installed as well and a transfer case drop kit?
09adge13 1 year ago
@09adge13 Yes thats true you will need both of those..
SChiaradonna 1 year ago
@SChiaradonna you dont need to run a transfer case drop with the sye and dc driveshaft, that would defeat the purpose of having a sye and dc driveshaft in the first place
ballzy91 1 year ago
@09adge13 no you wont if you get a 4.5 lift you either need a sye or a tcase drop you dont need both the sye is a better choice it bulks up the tcase with a 32spline but i still just run a 2in tcase drop its cheaper

Thats truly a clean prett jeep. my jeep is barley a jeep any more with the 350 and 3/4 ton axles. It is pretty much a truck now. I love it for most wheeling but on trails now i'm now near as good. And i didn't shorten the axles so it's now the prettiest thing on 37's around.
weyer69 1 year ago
hey tbomb...if ur on a tight budget and want lockers...weld ur gears together!! free lockers!! haha yea it will work, but everytime u turn on concrete, it will be like..er er er er er er er er until u get straight hahaha. oh and put ur locker in ther front, since they are weaker than the rear when it comes to 4 wheel drive. alos get some balck rims...no matter what color ur jeep is, black rims ALWAYS looks better.

Thanks
Tbomb187 1 year ago
@Tbomb187 I would put in the back.. that way you can run it all the time.. wheeling. even on the road so dont have to get otu and lock it everytime ur gona wheel it.
chef979 1 year ago
@Tbomb187 I would get a selectable in the front.. like an arb or an ox.. cause 95% of the obstacles your gonna come across your front wheels are gonna have to go over first and pull you through. But thats just my mind set.
SChiaradonna 1 year ago
@SChiaradonna I agree highly with your mind set.

i respect a good jeep like that. are the ox lockers pretty agressive on road?
4x4buddy 2 years ago
both the ox locker in the front and the Ected in the rear are selectable so you just turn them off on road and they act just like an open diff

hondavteclover 2 years ago
hahaha its about 2700 and 60mph it hits 3000
SChiaradonna 2 years ago
holy crap anybody know what 4.10s are at? i've got stock 3.02s and i hate em. at 55 or so im at 1400rpm. oh yeah is your speedo calibrated? with my 33's my speedo is about 7 mph under what i'm accually going so if it says 40 im really going like 47.
hondavteclover 2 years ago
well thats also with a three speed automatic trans soo.. no overdrive
SChiaradonna 2 years ago
okay that makes a lot more sense
hondavteclover 2 years ago
Are you still rolling that D30 up front with the same setup? Good times!
meh669 2 years ago
my jeep is the same as soon as i put my 33's on it's like 7 mph under
Januch009 2 years ago
I did a 1 inch body lift. Any more than that it does look odd.
VintageGamer77 2 years ago
man that jeep at the end sounded nice
NuX354354354 2 years ago
No motor mount needed for either lift.
the only thing recommended is a slip yoke eliminator for anything above 4 inches...And dont do a body lift ...they are gay..get some coil spacers. They are 200 bucks.
pilatus5000 2 years ago
Small body lifts look fine...and are commonly used with a motor mount lift to eliminate vibes. Not to mention, they work good for a lil extra tire clearance in addition to a coil spacer or spring lift. I agree anything over about 1 inch BL looks pretty shitty though.

Hey i have a 2000 4.0 sport an i dont have the money for a suspension lift right now so im looking to get just a simple 1 inch. body lift.. if i get the body lift will i have to also install a motor mount or will it be fine?
leosforlife 2 years ago
@leosforlife im not 100% sure im not big into lifts and yet i dont even have one but. i believe i heard that you will have to get a motor mount after 4 inches of lift. im not sure if its suspension or body lift. but just research on it and dont take my word for it cause im not exactly sure.
killapawner 2 years ago
someone correct me if im wrong
killapawner 2 years ago
@killapawner
