  • New subscriber! I also did a big chop on Sat. so I have a TWA. Trying to get a hold on what I should be doing. So now I just wake up wash/condition hair then place on a styling gel. I noticed that you use Leave-in, mosturizer. Is that b4 gel? Whats your nightly regiment?

  • @1stLaDee2002 - YAY! Thanks :) Congratulations on your big chop. That was 2 years ago for me so now things are a little different. No matter what length, though, there are a few things for any length. Leave-in, moisturizing lotion, and oil to seal in the moisture. Follow that up with whatever you want. I follow it with gel and/or sheamoisture's curling smoothie Hope that this is helpful :)

  • @1stLaDee2002 - Oh, I just wear a satin bonnet at night...nothing special.

  • Thx4 the video napumentary.I've been considering going natural and have had relaxed hair since the age of 16.I remember having thick, long natural hair as a teenager and I wonder if that will return when choosing to return to natural hair. Your videos have been soooooo helpful because my hair is fine as well.KISS with my hair is also a critical factor in maintaining natural hair as well.I'm so glad that I get to see your journey and rec'v encouragement from ur experience.Tata4now.

  • @angelstouchtutorial - Yes, your hair will return to it's former glory ;) Go for it! Thanks for the feedback! Blessings to you.

  • Thanks for the video, I got some good ideas from it! And you better WORK IT for your 10k, good luck (even though I'm probably too late) Also idk if you know this, but you have Tyra Bank's mouth! And I mean that as a compliment. I think its the shape of your beautiful teeth and your lips. Good luck with your hair journey!

  • very nice and good look : )

  • Since you use Giovanni Smooth as Silk Deep Moisture Conditioner. It is absolutley wonderful.

  • Way to go I am coming up on my 2 months, on the 25th. I am away in training so no videos for now. Your hair looks great.

  • Amen! I've refocused on the health and care of my hair as well. It's real easy to get caught up in the products, but sometimes in order to find out what works for your hair, you have to become a semi product junky, lol.

Great vid! I love your hair and congrats!

  • We have the exact same haircare regimen with the ic products as well. I also tried to use the ic olive oil fantasia gel and i could not stand it. It made my hair feel dry and brittle. Your hair is beautiful. I am hitting my first month natural and so far so good..

  • i love your process...i'm kinda doing the same co wash at nite with a quick spritz and leave plus gel in the morning. really appreciate you using the diffuser 'cause i really didn't know how to use it i was putting it on my hair and was crunching it down so thanx for that.

  • Glad that I could help. I'm trying not to use it everyday. Sometimes I stretch my hair and (pull strands out) as I'm diffusing, but I don't have much length anyway so I'm not into stretching too much....just trying to take the glossy wet look off of the hair before leaving for work. See you in a month :D

  • i love love your hair texture!!!!!!!

  • That was sweet of you to say. Thanks so much. See ya at month #4!

  • I love the simplicity of what you're doing and your hair looks great. Some people just go through too many steps and who has that kind of time in the morning when you're trying to get out.

What happened to the Cantu Shea Butter that you used to use? Good luck on the 10K and school year.

  • Thanks. I'm trying to K.I.S.S. it (Keep it super simple). In the morning, I spritz with water, apply my leave-in (giovanni or cantu), apply my gel and go. I still use Cantu, but wanted to try using all one line (Giovanni) for a little while. Thanks for the well wishes! See ya in another month :D

  • Beautiful Beautiful!!....Im so proud of you!..I didnt know you were training for a 10K....you go girl*....your hair looks so healthy...and Im glad to hear that you've outgrown the product overload!....let your hair do what it do!...Peace*

  • Thanks!!!!! I just decided on a 10k. I was training for a 5k, but surpassed that goal and needed another. Yep, done with the products...got that out of my system :) What did you decide about the haircut?

  • Haven't decided yet..still doing research on it...so far I can only find reviews from caucasian women..not too many on us folks...i still got a full month to decide what Im going to do though! I'll definitely keep everyone posted!

  • congrats on ur training. i wish i could run but i get shin splints :( ur hair is really growing! thumbsup!!! ive never seen a blowdry contraption like that but it was kewl to have an alt to a hairdryer :-)))

  • Yeah, I didn't want to pay $50 or more for a hair dryer so that has been working really well for the 5-10 minutes a week that I use it :D See you in 1 month!

  • beautifulll i love the music

  • Thanks for watching. I appreciate the support. See ya in a month!

  • 3.6 miles?! YES. That is great...great...great!!! Your hair looks good, too. "See" you in a month!

  • Can you believe it? I'm supposed to do a 4 mile run on Sunday. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm excited.

  • You can do it! I know you can. Just pace yourself and don't start out too fast. Go 'head, girl! :-) Keep me posted!

  • Your hair looks great.

  • Thanks Monicajoi. That means a lot coming from you :D

  • YOU GO GIRL!!!! love your video very informative

  • Thanks so much for the support. See ya at month 4!

  • 4:38, lol! me too! i am so concerned about what to do for the winter months because i wet my hair about every other day, but obviously, it'll soon get to cold for that where i live (D.C.) so i may have to start breaking my diffuser out as well. right now i always air dry. Congrats on the 10K training girl! Can you do a vid on how you built up from a half mile run to nearly 4 miles? i can never work up enough motivation to start running sadly.

  • Hmmm, never thought about doing a video about my running. I'm SUCH a novice, but I guess that I started running when I cut my hair so I guess I could. I hated running, too. If I can do it, anyone can. How are you and your moisture mania? LOL

  • i am trying really hard to be able to run for at least 30 minutes on the treadmill. right now i can only do walk 5min, run 4min. i was just really wondering what technique you used to build up your running time/distance?

  • I'll send you a longer message and tell you how I did it. I am definitely a novice, but I am determined :D

  • Best wishes on your 10k training. Your hair looks great.
