  • You mentioned a few times that your anchored in deep water, are you using drowning rigs or just relying on the trap to drown them

  • Love watching your videos Tom good job!

  • ok.... 12:36 i dont think i would squeeze a beaver vagina to get stuff to squirt out; at least not bare handed. otherwise great vid.

  • what is the reason of pilling up the mud on the bank there.

  • so he takes the little sticks that guide the beaver out of the centre of the trap always?

  • @79Testo

Yes.The only reason I put the sticks in the center of the trap was so you were able to see the placement of the traps. The only sticks I leave is the sticks on the sides of the traps that guides the beaver to the traps I have set up.

  • @FlorinTrapping

What do you think about Duke #5's?

or better to stick to Sleepy creek 4.5 's?

How many inches back from the castor mound should the foot traps be?

looks to me about 12" on the left and 8"-10" on the right.

    is that right?

  • @FlorinTrapping

How do we make sure the Beaver doesn't trip the foot traps with their belly?

How far to the left/right of the castor mound in inches do we need to place the traps to get them right?

  • Also whats the best way to kill a trapped animal without damaging the fur?

  • @HondaQuality

There is a product we sell call The Sleeper. It will hold a 160-330 conibear. All you do is walk up to the trapped animal and put it on its head and lights out. Very simple to use and very fast.

  • @FlorinTrapping Ok thank you very much

  • @FlorinTrapping Looked all over your site for "The Sleeper" cant find it.

  • @HondaQuality 22 between the eyes

  • seen all you videos, met you and ben in person, love that you are from wisconsin! What do you stake with and when do you double stake, if you do?

  • @alloutdoorsman

I used a pogo disposable stakes with a drounder cable. I don't double stake on that trap because most of the time they don't come out.

  • Quick question, how did you secure the traps in this video?

  • @HondaQuality

Can you elaborate on what you mean by secure the traps? How do I secure the traps, or how is this being staked?

  • @FlorinTrapping How is it being staked?

  • @FlorinTrapping How did you get started in the trapping business? I want to be a trapper but In dont know where to start.

Also, do you have to travel far to get all those beavers? I cant imagine that you can catch 7 beavers or more a day. Dont they run out?

  • @FlorinTrapping Great vid. We hope to have some better trapping vids next year.

  • Man you no alot about trapping you are smart

  • We should really admire this man's work, trappers are a dying breed. They don't make real men like they used to anymore.

  • @79Testo there are still those amoung us that pass the trapping tradition along to the younger generation im only 30 but i do what i can

  • I thought Tom florin was gone. Good to see him around again.

  • looks like fun playing in the water while setting traps. We freeze up before the beaver season opens.
