  • That was the stupidest movie Ive ever seen in my life....

  • @Blinkyboy99 The Italian man did not approve of his son being part of an inter-racial relationship with a black woman. To the Italian man, this was an offense grave enough to be punished by death.

  • Carole & Michael really compliment each other.

  • carol's fuckin hot. i don't blame michael at all!

  • that was amazing

  • Dude does the guy who plays MIkey do the voice of Tony in American Pop??

  • ... Angie set his kids' black GF up so's to kiss the Dons' ass... Shorty always had th' hots for Carol... Shorty capped Mikey instead- 'cause he was jealous of the bosses' kid for hitchen' up with her... Shit... The City sure is cleaned-up since th' 60's... Looks-wise, that is... Mafia's still th' same, though... and bein' an underground comix artist, too...

Guess I'll just look for Jesus... again...

  • @SittingMooseShaman they were talking about watergate in the first part. has to be like 1974 or something right?but still u are so right

  • Wow, did I really just make an emotional investment in a couple of cartoon caricatures?

  • Real life Michael is pretty cute!

  • I wish someone would put up part 5 again.

  • I didn't understand the ending, what did the guy say to her?

  • @SNESosT he said lets go all the way... then he got some

  • @SNESosT It's not so much about what he said but that he said it. Instead of giving up, knowing that all the odds are against him, he's stepping up to play the game of life and try to win rather than letting it beat him down.

  • This film really raises awareness for the way the world is these days. As raunchy as it may be, it's the exact kind of depiction necessary to portray the problems with today's society. At first glance it may just look like another pointless violent film, but instead of glorifying the destructive lifestyle, it speaks out against it in an artistic way that encourages you to think about what each scene is specifically representing, making the messages that much more powerful.

  • Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Stylish artwork, great music, excellent symbolism, and superb ending. I'm glad I took the time to watch this one. I'll admit after watching some clips of Fritz the Cat I was kind of afraid, but this film is wonderful. The ending really makes me want to cry. It's all so realistic and believable. He almost learned the true meaning of love, but then you remember that his life was cut short by a jealousy and anger.

  • It's nice that Bakshi included the happy ending as well, and the live action actors do a great job of portraying the characters in the story. It goes without saying that my level of respect for Bakshi has risen with this film. It's dark, it's edgy, it's violent, and it's sexual - but unlike so many other movies that fit that description, it has a message.

  • Whats playing at 6:59?

  • new york city was really a hell hole back in the 70s and early 80s

  • i love this movie

  • Thanks for posting.

  • Hey- I'm sure you get asked this all the time.. but what happened to part 5? And is it posted anywhere else? Anyway- thanks!

  • God I love that song they play.

  • nice movie!

  • I thought the part where cartoon michael died was sad. He was a great character

  • Love the slow motion bullet to the head scene - great animation

  • good flick

    thanks:)

  • Ive sat and watched this through i think its being quiet a good film i watched a few old animated films but this one has being the most ive enjoyed.

  • I adore that such a rambunctious, insane, odd film ends with such a beautiful and memorable ending ^^

  • Love This!

  • Man, I still don't get this movie. I think the animation was either past events or fantasy, but I'm not sure. Also, the credit sequence has a great jazz tune, and the ending was nice.

  • Why is Michael uglier in real life?

  • @pockypurse because life is ugly.

  • michael and carol are much more attractive as cartoons.

  • @CarrieTomahawk hahahahaha.. when i read your comment i lwas laughing hella hard

  • @CarrieTomahawk Nah, you don't know what you're talking about.

  • damn

  • yay a happy ending :)

  • Every single bakshi movie leaves me feeling bewildered, disturbed, and at the same time very inspired!

  • Carol is really pretty

  • I'm still stuck on why Angie is all catatonic in the beginning and what he's about to say to his mistress.

  • ralph bashki has never gotten the true credit he deserved as a film maker.

  • my has this VHS, and i just watched it last night since you were missing some parts. interesting...i don't understand what message he was trying to make

  • Why does Angie look all catatonic like?

What is the statement he was going to make to his mistress? He says, "Look Molly..."

  • I noticed that the machine that Michael was playing (and later tipped over at 2:55) was Gottlieb's "Foto Finish".

  • Life is just a game of pinball. Either you're gonna win or you're gonna lose. The important thing is, never to give up.

  • Time is life,

    but life is ruled time.

    So we all have life,

    but no time to live.

  • Time is life,

    but life is ruled time.

    So we all have life,

    but no time to live.

  • who did the remake of parsley sage rosemary and thyme at the end?

  • Sergio Mendez and Brazil '66; the name of the tune is "Scarborough Fair".

  • It's obvious the two knew it each other, but I just want to know what they were argueing about O_x

  • 1:03= first appearance of bullet time in US film

lol really missed what happen in 5 was it that baD?

  • Thanks for posting. I've subscribed after reading profile, and viewing as much of your faves as I could in one night.

(is it just unlucky that YouTube have removed audio for Roberta/Snowflake's big scene, I take it he/she features in missing part FIVE too.

  • I'll never look at Pinball machines, the same way again.

  • I think your missing some parts.

    Where's 5?

THANKS FOR ALL THE OTHER UPLOADS!

  • What a great movie! I'm going to buy it! :)

I don't know who's sexier live action Michael or cartoon Michael ;)

  • Cartoon XD

  • Surreal. Bakshi is on another level altogether. A sweet ending, too.

  • From 0 up to 2:26, It felt just like that moment when I was watching "The End of Evangelion". I was blown away. And somehow left feeling empty.

  • while managing heavy traffic's glaring racist stereotypes and bitter cynicism, i love the raw, gritty feel of this movie, as it stands as a homage to 70's street culture.

  • it really makes ya pine and miss for it... it makes me wanna walk down Downtown like mike, Just taking in the gritt and and the feel

  • i gotta say when i saw those two dancing, i was really happy

  • I'm so sportin' that strut from the beginning, hahaha

  • hahahah that guy was taking pictures of his junk! hahahah so un-noticable !! and what was that western game??

  • HAHAH yeah the guy taking photos of his junk was funny! the western game is an old one called "QUICKDRAW" You had to pull the trigger right before the robot dfummy to win.

  • (by dane youssef)

It's funny, isn't it? Animation, live-action, rotoscoping, in-between... the people in this universe have the same appearance, personality and behavior no matter what exact lens we see them through.

  • Wow. Really goes to show what a statement an animated film can make. I really appreciate it whoever uploaded this, greeeattt movie.

  • This was awsome! Thank you so much for posting this!!

  • I really liked the movie, but I was a little thrown off by the ending. Did anyone else feel the same way?

  • I think it must mean that everything was inside his head as he was playing the pin ball machine or something.

  • Awesome ending. It's very touching, seeing Michael and Carol dancing in the park. Beautiful.

  • i would love to live in that time period

  • If your reffering to the 70's, ditto here.

  • yeah me too.

but mostly i'd like a pair of those bitchin trousers.

  • it was all in his head? cooool.

  • I never got to see the entire film of Fritz. But when I rented Heavy Traffic & saw the ending, it felt like I was on acid. This whole movie is completely insane. And that's why I love it!

  • What was with all of that random things happing in his head? can someone explain me on that?

  • It's explained on Wikipedia that it's a kaleidoscope of shocking and disturbing images and events before throwing to back to the live-action story. It's a Bakshi thing. I'm not sure if that doesn't help, but I tried.

  • Hmm werid but cool. somthing like that was ALSO used in a flim that he did coonskin.

  • The part when the bullet hits michael is superb in slow-mo.

  • U know this is one of the flims that NEEDS a sequel

  • u think that adult swim will show this, coonskin, fritz, and hey good lookin?

  • Of course not. But if they did they'd probably edit it to cut out the best parts.

  • GOD i bet my money that Comedy central will air it UNCUT and uncesored late at night

  • this?? this is too Heavy for comedy central

    & "old" in some cases/

  • What's the name of the song at 0:23 to 2:28? it s so jazzy

  • reminds me of an old movie of my fritz the cat
