Actually, Gore is in favor of a Carbon TAX, where revenues would go towards renewable energy.

In fact, Gore spoke @ the Miami Book Fair 11/15/09, he pointed out that drilling for Therrmo energy in most of the USA could be accomplished with the current oil drilling tech.

I'm tired of the Bush Tax cuts for Oil, the federal grants for (Cheney's) Halliburton for Nuclear Energy research, and, at the same time, the cry to stop any funding for Renewables.

Indeed, France DOES recycle Nuclear Fuel, but it is far from ideal. France was an early adopter of Nuclear energy and now nearly 80% of their generated electricity is Nuclear. So, it is no surprise why they chose this recycling 'Solution' but it's more like a hamster wheel.

This was covered by CBS: The waste from recycling Nuclear Fuel is FAR more dangerous than our 'store-it-at-the-plant' fuel. It is dumped MILES underground where it hopefully does not vent, nor come near groundwater.

A lot of what the Cap and Trade is about is a new property right or new form of property. There are some questions why firms like Goldman Sach are so involved with the creation of them except for the income that can be generated from trading of them on the stock market. There are questions about whether their spokes people promoting carbon reductions are selling it for this reason and not environmental protection. Like it or not, Gore's is connected with Occidental Petroleum. :-(

I have never liked CapnTrade, it meant more money being moved around. If you burn coal, natural gas or if you use Nuclear fuel, someone has to get it out of the ground, transport it, etc. For nuclear fuel, there is an additional, very expensive refinement process which, ironically, uses a great deal of power. But what do they care? The taxpayer pays that.

Our current energy policy is PROFIT.

Renewables do not make money for a chain of stocklholders, they just make energy for you and me.

Nuclear power is the very cheapest way to produce energy. Wind and solar are extremely expensive and must be backed up by natural gas or some other means.

Profit is a good thing. It creates jobs and drives innovation. Profit made America great.

It wasn't "gov't censorship". The EPA merely objected to the references to the EPA itself, which could give the impression (even though there was a disclaimer) that they were speaking on behalf of the EPA.

If you object to censorship, then look into what the EPA did to Dr. Alan Carlin, a scientist who used to support theories on man-made global warming, but after writing a report poking holes in it, was muzzled, because it didn't support the Obama administration's policies on cap and trade.
