In a subtle way, it smacks of Simon's Quest. Am I the only one who notices the similarity of gathering and burning Freddy's Bones and the gathering and burning of Drac's Parts in Simon's Quest?

There should be a Nightmare on Elm Street game for Wii or PS 3. It would be really cool if they did that. There should also be a Friday the 13th one too.

Ya know, now that there are 9 Nightmare films and various comics, someone should make a new game based on all of them. It could be pretty a pretty deep and scary game if done well. It would be nice to see. Someone could do the same with Halloween and Friday the 13th, but those characters have no personality, so they wouldn't be as interesting. I'd play it.

my brother played swiper with mine, but I got 1 back but now I just use emulators and roms that i own. Betta den blowing 4 hrs in a piece of plastic to get the damn game 2 work

@manuel221988 I just play on my NES. It is a real pain to get the games to work as you said though. I saw a video of how to get them uber clean, but you need to a special tool to unscrew the rivets so no thanks. Most of my games don't take long to get to work luckily. :D

Easier said than done. Just spent the better part of an hour playing this peice of shit and he REFUSED to go into the school. This after beating all the other levels. And to even get into those, was a chore. It seems to work at random whether or not the character will enter or not.

Now I remember why I hated this game all those years ago. I hate it even more now. :@

(random floating coffee/power ups, getting pushed back after touching an enemy... those are all pretty common things in almost all games)

I played this game back in 1990 and found it to be pretty decent being probably the only good game made by LJN.

Uwe Boll is a movie director who has a rather sorry track record when it comes to video game movies. He has made movies like "House of the Dead", "Alone in the Dark", "Bloodrayne", and "Dungeon Siege" to name a few. All of his movies have bombed at the box office but somehow he keeps making money which enables him to make more movies.

So I walked all the way down that darn street for nothing? I swear, I tried entering the first three houses at least two times each, and couldn't get into a single one of them. How precise does your darn position in front of the door have to be?

The enemies in the awake world are pitiful, but at least you pointed out some of the game's good soundtracks.

I don't care what anyone says, I love this game...probably because I was such a huge fan of the movies when I was a kid when this game came out I was all up in it and I thought it was great. I'm interested to see what you think because your reviews always kick ass and I haven't played it in such a long time, maybe now I'll be more aware of its flaws than when I was a starstruck kid awing over fighting Freddy with my own two hands (no pun intended) lol

According to GameFAQs, both Rare -and- LJN were part of the creation of this game. In the words of Freddy in the Nerd's review, "Figure THAT out!" o_o Seems both companies developed it, while LJN published it. Make of that what you will.
