  • I've been trying to figure out what 's the name and who makes this missile. the penetration logistics is quite impressive, since it enters the ship from the back what implies the ship's propulsion mechanism is destroyed and in doing so rendered, useless.

  • That's China love for pakistan!!!

  • Harpoon?

  • A lot of people think that the ship needs to be sunk or they mention that it's still afloat. Lets just say; try checking your email after something like that hits you.

  • Looks kinda like it breached its hull and slightly cracked it.

  • @indoorin Nvm it broke its back.

  • I want to see several ships fire at once at that thing

  • Ship 2- "Do de do de---OMG WTF!!!"

  • Is that the same model which struck the Israel ship few years back?

  • lol anyone can hit a frigate...that has no armor and not ever moving!

  • Pakistan Zinabad , The region super power Pakistan,

  • Thissar,

Never ever trust the Indians in India.

  • Yay More war!!!........ sighhhh

  • looks like Pakistan will be a real threat to any unarmed and unable to defend themselves ships come near them. lol

  • This is nothing. Indian ships are equiped with the Barak point defence missile system which can easily handle Pakistan's anti-ship missiles. However India's navy is equiped with the supersonic Brahmos anti-ship missile which travels at Mach 2.5. Even the U.S navy has no answer to this. Not even the vaunted Aegis system can stop it. The missile travels so fast that no warhead is even needed. The kinetic impact alone causes catastophic damage. Only Russia & India possess this missile. Jai Hind!

  • @thissar The U.S.A does have an answer, they're called submarines.

All navies, regardless of their missile capability are vulnerable to subs and their stealth technology.

  • You are right. I was just trying to show that Pakistan's imported crappy Chinese anti-ship missiles is no match for India's Hypersonic anti-ship cruise missiles. I was dealing on with surface ship realm. Nevertheless your point is right. This is why China is deploying boomers at a scary pace. In response India inducted its first indigenous boomer and is going to induct a Akula II Hunter-Killer.

  • @thissar

There is one big problem with the BrahMos missile. It relies on the United States satellites to guide the missile to its target. A matter of fact, last year during a test the BrahMos missile missed its target because U.S. satellites "blinked" during the test window. Was this done on purpose? I don't know but it goes to show you that the BrahMos missile is useless without U.S. Satellites. This missile has not effect against the U.S. forces.

  • Again. India and U.S are friends and "allies". I was just trying to show what India was capable of deploying against Pakistan using U.S systems for a gold standard comparison. But you should know that India is a partner in the Russian GLONASS satellite navigation system which will be as robust as GPS by 2015 at which point India will no longer need GPS for network-centric warfare systems like Brahmos. BTW for now all nations except Russia are dependent on GPS. EU Galileo is not up & running yet.

  • @thissar

I know, I wasn't trying to start a fight, I have nothing against India. However, maybe the Russian GLONASS satellite sysem will be as robust as GPS by 2015 but that's assuming that the U.S. doesn't make any improvements to their system. I guess we will have to wait and see. As for the EU Galileo, it will probably never work because the European governments just waste time arguing amongst themselves about who will get the contracts and who will pay for what.

  • look at the tags for this video.... how can this be described as "militant", the AP is just another Zionist propoganda mouthpiece.

  • A stationary undefended ship hit by a sub-sonic missile!!! Hardly a real war like scenario. In an actual war a CIWS system like Kashtan, Phalanx or Goalkeeper would have easily shot down such a slow moving missile.

  • yeah like the uss stark. hmmmmm

  • Ships these days are nothing more than sitting ducks. The navy's of the world will become obsolete.

  • Somebody tell Al Gore the military is leaving a LARGE carbon footprint and need to be taxed for creating global warming!

  • Comment removed

  • That's scary-looking. Obviously a warning shot meant for India.

But it doesn't look much different in capacity to our own Harpoon missile. If I can recall, we sold Harpoons to the Pakistanis back in the 80's. India has bigger and meaner weapons that they've bought from Russia since then, so I doubt that this scared them much.

  • It's a good thing Obama is cutting the military.

The one thing government is suppose to do, they cut.

  • The federal government doesn't have any other responsibilities besides war?

Have you ever actually read the Constitution?

  • @Principalian

Protect you from foreign and domestic fools like you.

That's pretty much 90% of the constitution sumed up for your dumb ass.

  • I love the fact that I served to defend dumb shits like you. Seriously, read the Constitution. You've got no idea what your country is about.

  • @Principalian

Hey, you would do well as a politician. Good ass liar.

    liberals. LOL

  • can someone tell me ..............how do u fire a missle and blow your self up

  • to muterstan with love thats an indian navyship quick piss on it

  • the target ship was like " Iam ready, please come and destroy me" LOL !! Obsolete missiles with subsonic speed don't cut it anymore.

  • Missiles are obsolete. Check out Tesla Plasma weapons technology and see the Youtube video called: Scalar Waves 101

  • I think this is the C-802. Very effective. Iran's got thousands of them.

The US has no defence against them afaik

  • Comment removed

  • US ships do have defences against many missiles it's true but as I said they can't really defend against C-802 missiles which are equipped with anti-phalanx systems eg small radar reflectivity

Go to Global Security and/or FAS and read about it

  • @rfalfonse

And has this been proven in real tests?

  • @rfalfonse

Also almost all US ships use a newer variant that allows the interception of missiles that are not emitting any radar signals, this technology has been around for a bit.

  • The C-802 has undergone upgrades that counter the newer US technologies.

If you take a look at the websites I mentioned and other analyzes, the C-802 is still considered superior to US countermeasures

    You might want to read:

The Secret History Part II: The C-802 Cruise Missile: How the CIA left the Navy Defenseless against an Iranian Missile

  • the iphone is superior to US countermeasures.

  • @rfalfonse

That's nice but you said "C-802 missiles which are equipped with anti-phalanx systems eg small radar reflectivity"

And what I'm telling you is that all U.S. warships have the Block 1 variant that adds an overall infrared-only guidance system that enables it to intercept missiles that are not emitting any radar signals.

  • OK please link me to some info on the Block 1 versus the C-802

  • just search for infrared-only guidance systems.

  • I did and found nothing.

  • How do you account for Global Security's and FAS's assessment that the C-802 has a hit probability as high as 98% and that "target ships have a very low success rate in intercepting the missile"?

  • @rfalfonse

But what are these "targeted ships" they are referring to? Just any or highly advanced ones like the U.S. has? Are they including more advanced anti-missile systems like the RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile that also has the infrared-only guidance system?

  • I don't know for sure. I assume since they are both respected sources they are including ships equipped with those systems. I'm going to email them and ask

  • I don't know for sure. I assume since both FAS and Global Security are respected sources they are including ships equipped with that system.

I'm going to email them and ask

  • You might be interested to know that Hizbullah hit a phalanx armed Israeli ship with a C-802. The Israelis say their phalanx wasn't activated but I don't believe them.

  • Iran doesn't need nukes.

Cobalt 60 ...in even the small missiles is enought to killl 8 million fucking slimeball Jews.

  • had to cut loose this subscription the commercials just too distracting

  • With all the military bucks spent here, how hard would it have been to place some oil booms around the wreck before it creates the slick?

  • Now just imagine one of these with a nuke warhead...

That's enough to vaporize an aircarft carrier

The Chinese and Russians(the inventors of these misiles) have these as well.

No,our phalanx system won't stop these as some fly at mach 3

  • @tutt4 Good call. It looks like it was fired upon.

  • AC130 In The AIR !!!

  • did the missile go back to them??

  • no a missle probly just exploded inmediatly when they launched it

  • Looks like the ship held up quite well considering the missile strike.

  • @tradernorton05

     ship was sank in final

  • wow

  • wawoooooooooooooooooo

  • The Iranians have thousands of these types of missiles.

  • A Way To World Peace

The President stood up to a tumultuous applause
