THIS SONG MADE ME CRY, TEARS JUST CAME DOWN ROLLING DOWN MY FACE ! ! !, ALTHOUGH I AM NOT TSALAGI i COULD SING ALONG RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING ALTHOUG I NEVER EVER HEARD IT BEFORE IN TSALAGI LANGUAGE ! ! !
I am a native of the Earth. Only the Creator of the Earth has the right to bar me safe passage through it, and he does not do so. Will you Cherokee honor him?
Love the song, my family aswell as others in the Indian nation never been who they were as people for hundreds of years, its a blessing to hear such native beauty in this..I'm slowly tapping into my ancient blood line a yearn that skipped my family but that is crying to come out of me..
A beautiful song sung in any language. The story of this song in itself is beautiful how a slave trader changed his life through the touching of the Amazing Grace of God our Heavenly Father through the sacrifice of His only son that we should not perish. God transcends and overcomes human boundaries, and that God used Newton the same way he used Paul gives me hope that He can use me as well. Thank you sharing this gorgeous video in the tongue of my husband's grandmother.
Thank you so much for sharing this song and video, my Grandmother on my fathers side was half Cherokee and Sioux Indian. I honored to have their blood run throughout my Soul, I think all Americans should take a moment to Honor the Native American Indians and for moment try to understand the suffering and the crimes that were committed in the Name of God, Country and Exploration.
Long-live The Native American Indians, nearly gone but forgotten.
All I can say is for anyone who is interested....to read up on the History of Native Americans and read the book "I Buried My Heart At Wounded Knee" very very sad true story from the American Indian perspective of the injustices and betrayals of the US government. Another good book is Trail of tears. Both brought tears to my eyes and sorrow to my heart.
This brings tears to my eyes every time. I have Cherokee, Irish, German from my moms side of the family and Iroquois, Italian, Scottish, french on Dads side.I may not be full blood of anything but I still take pride in my heritage.
@aztec714ok Actually it was a song written by an English poet and clergyman John Newton published in 1779, as for the gentlemans background........well you were wrong about the song so I'll just leave it at that LOL.
@aztec714ok Well maybe a little over weight but the doc doen't think I could be called fat, as for the idot part.....I at least knew who and when the song was written, so the idot statement probably does hold water either. I'd say you on the other hand are a angry young person that enjoys lashing out at folk. My suggestion is to just sit back and enjoy the music, it really is very nice if you just listen, might even calm that hot temper.
thankyou for posting this, it was so amazing to hear the music of both sides of my heritage combined. i am Irish, Scottish, Cherokee, and Seminole, and i feel so blessed to be descended from such beautiful, amazingly talented people. thankyou for sharing something that has quickly become dear to me. its so comforting on so many levels. bright blessings in this new year,
I have no Native blood, I'm not even an American but I think taking time in our busy lives to study, to learn more about the Native cultures, Native history is very interesting, very rewarding, Peace by with you Friends, Happy New Year 2012.
I am american indian I can trace it to a cencus in 1870 which tribe is hard to say I am proud of my blood, I live in a white mans world look like one but my thoughts and my mores are as native as they can get. but do know something which is to divide and conquer then destroy which the white man has done, my thinking even if not on rolls but can prove that you are any part native american what would the population be then,
I am one fourth Cherokee myself and my great great great grandfather through my father and biological grandmother Morrow was the John Jolly Chief of the Cherokees, and I too am proud to be Cherokee.
I am not cherokee. I am blood sister to chippawa-cree. She has left this earth and I am still here. I am a white person.....I can't help that. However I do know how things went. I would hope that at this time and space we could all live together without hard feelings. I truly LOVE this video and the people it portrays. Don't be too hard on us modern day whites. It was not we who did this............but it was our ancestors.
im too cherokee and i been trying to find my tribe for so long but now that i found my tribe im going to work on teaching my tribe to my kids its amazing how are our ancestors raise up from the grave to show us where we truely come from

This breaks my heart . I can't claim to be Native American, however, I have a lot of respect for them. My brother is half Cherokee, as is my boyfriend. I've seen many comments about "rude white people".we aren't all that way. I'm fascinated & intrigued by Native American culture, and have the utmost respect for them. They (or their ancestors) were here long before me & my ancestors. The Native Americans have a beautiful life - you all have my respect and admiration.
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL, AND SAD AT THE SAME TIME, THAT FROM SUCH BEAUTY CAN BRING SUCH VILE.. COMMENTS HISTORY REPEATS AND REPEATS. INDIANS HERE FIRST A GIVEN... THE LAND AND THE HORRIBLE SHAPE MAN HAS MADE WILL BE HERE AFTER WE ARE ALL GONE .. IT BREAKS MY HEART MAN.. HUMAN HAS LEARN NOTHING. THIS JUST BREAKS MY HEART.. I AND I AND I.. TOO MUCH I.. MY PEOPLE.. TOO MUCH I.. IT PROVES IF GIVEN THE CHANCE TO DO IT ALL AGAIN WE WOULD NOT FARE ANY BETTER
I, too, am part Cherokee, and I respect and love these people to the highest extent possible. I would love to learn this song in the Cherokee language.
Wheres all the full Native My brothers, Cherokee, Iroqious, Sioux, Nez Perce, Apache,Comanche, Im the only one that is saying something to these Halves? Were all brothers, we all stick together.
Im glad me and my family get all kinds of free money from the white man. and ur mad cuzz we got money for doing nothing, YOUR EUROPEAN ANCESTORS SHOULD HAVE JUST FOUND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO TAKE OVER, THEY PRETTY MUCH SCREWED U OVER NOW WE HAVE MONEY AND WE GET ALOR OF IT CUZZ U JUST HAD TO CHANGE US.
Who here is a mix? and think white man took their land? or their Ancestors land? cause they didnt Ur not Cherokee or anything Native not u ur kids, or yer grandkids. always have the white in them. my great gradmother and Grandfather walked the trail of tears, Ur white half Forced us to leave, took away our Native ways.
im full of shit? if two different breeds of dogs breed like a labrador and a poodle, it cant be a a called a Lab or a Poodle A Labradoodlle. Its a mix its not a single breed its two in one. A white and a Native breed their kid aint a White or a Native its a mix. the mixes didnt get their land taken away. maybe his Native mom or dads Ancestors did but not his. The Mix is Half White and half Native, the White Part Probably killed Natives and their families. Im not full of shit its all the truth.
well ur all in for it, but for all the other halves that are native and then they have white in them they dont count. its like if a a rottweiler mixes with a pitbull its not native its a new breed... that was a burn from the Native Nations white man!!!!!!!!!
My great-great grandparents married into the Cherokee People. I am proud of my Cherokee blood! These songs are so beautiful in the Native languages, it brings tears to a person's eyes!
I am not only part Cherokee, my OTHER ancestors were here also, before the White man! I also have Comanche blood, and this is MY land also, Brandondapowner! White or Native, the love of the land is bred into me, and no one can tell me I have no right to it!
I am part Cherokee too. I am proud to be one of the great Native Americans. I am tearing up because how they went through Trail of Tears, from South Eastern to Oklahoma. We Are Proud!
Thank you God for giving the world diversity. The beauty of the Cherokee is unspeakable. Their music is so gentle and humming to the spirit and sould of man. How could the White Man destroy such? There should be so much repentance from the White Man to avoid eternal damnation. Long live beautiful Cherokee people, Love the Lord with all your Heart and hamm his Love to Humanity and He will reward you eternally. Terry
My Great Grand mother was 100% Cherokee, I never learned the ways, but i would give anything to learn the way of my people. Im Cherokee Indian, Puerto Rican and French. Imma teach my self Cherokee Language!!! \m/ (o_o) \m/
"u ne la nv i u we tsi i ga go yv he i hna quo tso sv wi yu lo se i ga gu yv ho nv a se no i u ne tse i i yu no du le nv ta li ne dv tsi lu tsi li u dv ne u ne tsv e lo ni gv ni li squa di ga lu tsv he i yu ni ga di da ye di go i a ni e lo hi gv u na da nv ti a ne hv do da ya nv hi li tsa sv hna quo ni go hi lv do hi wa ne he sdi"
so cool i wish i had the lyrics to this so i could cover it someday. i love learning songs in different languages, tho im not Cherokee indian i am a proud Mex-Indian well 10% :)
even though i am creek-seminole this always rings tears to my eyes. i have a good memory and the worst/saddest memory i have of this is burying my grandpa to this in this language. i have been looking for this version for like forever. thank you for posting this.
I'm half cherokee & we are very nice people. & when I meet someone..like a very rude white person..I like to remind them... this is my land tht white men stole from my people.. & to remind them all to take care of our land..because at the end of their(your) life.. its' our land tht you seek whn you die. by the way.. my real name is MorningBear & I'm very proud of my people.. we are the ppl who will kill you with kindness & respect & love.
In this day and age, my heart is saddened, because there is still struggle over race and culture. No, I am not Cherokee, nor am I Indian. But I do have a great respect for the Indian nation. And also enjoy good and uplifting music.
Forgive me if I've affended anyone. It was not my intention.
The great spirit is allpervading and I can feel her gentle breeze in reading Your lines. May You and Your people feel deeply the bliss that flows from the love of Nivstanivoo. I do not know You, Morning Bear, and I am living far from America, but please accept my respect and love. May the cool breeze of the spirit sooth Your heart and head. My name is Walk of Wolves. Wolfgang
May we all find our way home to a life lived in Love, Peace, Forgiveness, and of course Grace. Whatever your faith may be, may we all Love others as we ourselves are loved by whatever your Spirit Guide may be. nv-wa-do-hi-ya-dv. Peace and Harmony to You.
i am also part cherokee. i to would love to learn the language, im proud to be blessed by having the cherokee blood run thru my veins. this song is just amazing
I am Cherokee and i do not even know one word of my language i wish i did is there anyone out there that can help me or tell me where i can go or who i have to talk to because i truely want to learn this language.
I am not native American but I respect and admire the cultures of Native American peoples and hope that they will not be lost. This is a beautiful way to keep the language alive.
this is an amazing song.i plan on singing it this year at our elders honoring dinner. we lost someone very special...and this seems to be the truest tribute i could ever give. to everyone who needs to remembered. wado for the video. its beautiful.
@cbarsonfire Siyo, I agree also....I lost a very special man a few weeks ago. He was full blood Cherokee. He was a elder,a M.D. and a healer. A wonderful, caring, respectful man. He played the flute so beautifully...glad I have some of him playing. Peace and Harmony to all...
yes I AGREE. thanks much for sharing for without your careing to share, we'd forever be lost to how and why we come to be here!!! I would be. Speak for no one else for even my family as a whole won't embrace that which they don't know, but I have always felt and done so. Blessings.. Always, ALEA
beings im part cherokee indian this song is the best thing ive heard since my great fullblodded cherokee indian grandamother used to speak in her native tounge..
Saberemos resolver nossos problemas.
To The legendary singer, Cher, Who is part Cherokee, I give thanks for her telling the Truth about the incident involving Cliff Manning since no one in the south believed me when I told them what he did to me in 1999. Sheron
I am 6/16 cherokee due to my great grandfather marrying a full blooded cherokee woman, on my mother side of the family, my children and me have ch6/16 cherokee. on my father side, I am 6/16 choctaw as Jenny Hunter was full blooded choctaw and my great great grandmotheron my fathers side. on my mother side my great grand father was full blooded cherokee.and his wife was black, so we consider ourselves to be Black Native Americans. Peace to you, , Sheron Denice Payne

This truly is beautiful. I'm Canadian, though I'm Caucasian and not a Native. However, I do like to think of myself as one, because I have tremendous respect for Native Americans/Native Canadians (or First Nations people, as they're called in Canada). May peace and my absolute respect be with all you who are Natives by blood, of any tribe. And God bless the one who wrote that message seen at the beginning of the video.
This so beautiful its real amazing .i went to work and showed one of the ladies i look after which she is first nation native even though she is non verbal she was very touch and listen to the song and look at the pictures ,She was crying .Just a beautiful song
EDCRABB I CAN IDENTIFY WITH YOU MY MOTHER'S MOTHER WAS HALF AND HER MOTHER WAS FULL CHEROKEE AND MY FATHER'S GRANDFATHER MARRIED A SEMINOLE ALL MY MOTHER'S AUNTS AND UNCLE WERE IDENTICAL IN APPEARANCE AS WELL MY FATHER ELDEST BROTHER WE LOST HIM THIS YEAR AT 87 MY FATHER IS THE YOUNGEST AND LOOKS THE AS WELL AS MYSELF AND I AM SO PROUD OF OUR HERITAGE PEACE TO ALL
This is my absolute favorite video of the Cherokee Amazing Grace.I have watched so many but this one is by far the best.I love the wisdom words within the video and the pictures are so very good.I pray all good things for you and yours.I am of Cherokee and Apache heritage. This really speaks to me.Aho,E_GI_NI.(Mary)
godny yrs natives i feel your pain brother white slavs have killed my people for many yrs we are native people on our land and it was taken away from us albania lost alot of land
Truly amazing. These people really have it. If we all had their philosophy, the world would be a much better place. I guess its always been in my mind, and this video just reinforced it, I would love to go visit these people and learn a bit about their culture. Its now officially on my "To do" list.
To the Cherokee people, and all Native American Indians, Please... Please don't let your culture die.
greetings my native brother. I am Kirati, native of the Himalayas.
watch this video --- > " Tribute to the Real People of Mother Earth: Native American-N-Himalayas Kirat "
I think all the native of the world must realize their original identity and revive their ancient culture and religion. Today Mother Nature is angry and Mother Earth is dying all attributed to western civilization, globalization and greedy corporation.
Absoutly truthful and a message thatt has no ending. For humans of all ages and walks of life. Please, we have the power to make 2011 the most love enspiring year of the world. Let's make it so.........amen
This is probably the most beautiful version of this song I have ever heard. When I was in the Army one of my platoon mates was full-blooded Navajo. His grandfather was a code talker during WWII.

BRANDONDAPOWNER16 1 month ago
im full of shit? if two different breeds of dogs breed like a labrador and a poodle, it cant be a a called a Lab or a Poodle A Labradoodlle.

Terry

In this day and age, my heart is saddened, because there is still struggle over race and culture. No, I am not Cherokee, nor am I Indian. But I do have a great respect for the Indian nation. And also enjoy good and uplifting music.
Forgive me if I've affended anyone. It was not my intention.

Saberemos resolver nossos problemas.

And God bless the one who wrote that message seen at the beginning of the video.

watch this video --- > " Tribute to the Real People of Mother Earth: Native American-N-Himalayas Kirat "
I think all the native of the world must realize their original identity and revive their ancient culture and religion. Today Mother Nature is angry and Mother Earth is dying all attributed to western civilization, globalization and greedy corporation.
May Mother Earth bless us.
