What Eric always seems to not get is that America was watching the live feeds and we saw that Dustin was making plans to pick off Eric. It was in his best interests to get rid of Dustin at that point and align with the Dick.

I think that first of all, he has a really annoying chuckle at the end of everything, and secondly, I think he gives himself way too much credit.
