@MTAWelder Hi, every part in a 125cc kart is made especific for it. There is noting you can replace with bike parts even if it is 125cc. That includes engine and chassis. good luck !

@bk2118. Interlagos is in São Paulo, Brazil. This is the kart track, its near the F1 track.

@spiderspeed Actually this IS in interlagos. Interlagos is a racetrack and the famous driver Ayrton Senna designed this kart track. Because of this, the original Interlagos race track had to be redesigned to fit this kart track. Then he also designed the also famous "Senna's S", a very challenging 2 curve sequence where drivers must take a lot of care.

Finally, on the remaining space left from the old track they built this kart track. I just raced there this week and it's awesome!

Hmmm, well, you don't know me so you don't know what I'm used to. My buddy races them and even has his own track. The average speed on the track with the karts is 70 mph. A 5hp is lucky to see 15 mph.

The engine is italian, a Parilla. Goes up to 18000 rpm. but normaly 17000

here in Brazil the adult non-gear box class uses an engine similar to the 100cc reed valves used in the U.K. in the 90´s. Except they are 125cc rater than 100cc, this has its advantages as they dont need rebuilding as often as the 100cc reeds used over there-because they dont rev as high, but (i am considering buying one but havent driven one yet so im sure sure) appear ro have a bit more poke low down that the afore mentioned motors(100 national, was the class name , back in the day)

Thats the last thing you want to do, in karting you have to be agressive on the brake, dont me gentle, you lose time. Be agresive, slam the brake and gain prescious seconds.

dude.. karting is all about having as much speed as u can, before breaking.. the longer u hold the gas, the better... and u dont get overtaken as fast either... u just have to get used to the maximum braking before locking.. if ur breaks lock too fast... shift ur grip to the rear of the kart... trust me... i've raced probably longer than u have...

yeah, dont slam the breaks or the rear wheels will lock then you have a slide to control.. but i know you do brake hard, on the limit, to gain time. Then you should be so fast that you think you aint gonna make the corner, so you turn tighter. There's a corner on my track (like a semi hairpin) where you delibretley lock the back wheels for about a split second, and you can literally attack the corner at good speed

ok lol, everyone think I mens to make the wheels lock but i dont lol, ive bin doing karting for a few years now and i knwo the bascis like that :p. Sorry if i gave the wrong impression. But be very aggressive on the break, the limit of the locking, the harder you break and the later you break the more time you gain, just remember that its the fastest you leave the corner that counts not the fastest you enter it.

i forgot-try a different seat position to give a little bit more flexibility to ur kart,reduce for example tha distance between the seat and the axle(u will drive more "laying").that will give u some better handling at the fast bends.

u r holding ur steering wheel in the wrong way and u dont brake properly in order to get the rear inside wheel in the air.try removing some of the little bars of the seat or work with a "softer" axle.and a little work on ur lines would do some good mate
