More times than it's successful a compression will just lock up in the middle of a compression and sit there not doing anything till the next day. When a compression setting works it's awesome. Does it ever just lock up for anybody else? And I just hit PAUSE on it just to see what would happen, and it didn't pause it started the whole compression process back over.

@AsiLayDying917 I have lag problems with the mp4, but only when I play in QT. I opened the laggy file in MPEG Streamclip, and it was fine. All of my vlogsare from laggy files, but they play fine -- i actually don't know why it does this...

i hope you get it sorted. you would convert to a different codec other than mp4. not prores though as youtube don't allow this codec once uploaded... depends what its for really... this tut was for youtube videos mainly i think...

@osamahmj There is a thing called Batch Template Droplet, I used it once (it runs off Compressor, just a smaller app.) I reverted back to Compressor..

I had the frame rate problem, until I changed the frame rate in the settings before output.

The only thing I can suggest for the massive file is the codec used?

I tried using compressor but the file it gave me back came out at 30 frames (it was mostly shoot at 24) and made it a 5 gig file when it was meant to be under a gig. Any recommendations?

I did this and it worked, but it made my video play in slow motion while the audio played fine. What gives?

@TomCampOH Did you check your frame rates? If you filmed at say 25fps, and then Compressor makes it 30fps in the conversion, it may throw things out of sync...

I could be wrong though...

Hey DUDE, this tutorial seems like has been compressed with compressor :) compared with others more complicated but with the same content at the end but without losing quality. Very very good in just few seconds.

Just started using it and love it, breaks down the size great, and i seem to get more quality out of it rather than just encoding straight out of FCP into a .mov

Hehe. This is what I do, I export a .mov from FCP then I convert that file using Compressor.

I always keep my high-res files.. thats why I never have any storage space left haha.
