  • letters =) what a wonderful glimpse into life as it was

  • The Romans did return in the shapeof the Roman Catholic Church!

  • Why copyright one part and not all it, were they to lazy to do the rest?

  • Was that Michael Kitchen reading Roman letters there at 01.27?

  • Part 3 is blocked. Bastard copyright laws!

  • Fascinating subject matter but this "documentary" is pretty lousy. I'm staring at a swimming pool for most of this clip when I should be seeing A MAP perhaps. I mean, at least ONCE would be nice

  • that's not really the kind of history he does. If you read his book Citizens, about the French Revolution, it is a lot of small stories more than a large history. The History Channel dose big picture history Schama does it differently.

  • @WarRogers this is an amazing doc... hes trying to give information thats not common knowledge, if you're too lazy to find out where Bath is that's your own problem. This is on BBC man, everybody knows where the different cities are. Its like doing a documentary on Canada's history and doing a part on the assault on Quebec and pointing out where Quebec is on a map... why would u even bother, 99% of Canadians already know where Quebec city is.
