I meant Michael hurt the people that loved him the most (Jermaine & other family members) and they would have protected him from the bad people that took advantage of him. He hurt them by closing them out of his life. For the last few months of his life even his Mother did not know his phone number. She stated this in an interview with Larry King that I saw on Utube.
Thanks for writing back. Ya know whatever it is in Life I like to know what the Truth is. The Truth is what makes sense. People can spin a lie and you believe it and all but when you hear the truth it not only makes sense but you can feel it inside, you know it is the Truth. It's Sad. I feel bad for Jermaine. For Mike actually too. He hurt the people that loved him the most and would have protected him from the predators that came along later.
@vincentpricenut2 Ever since Mj left Encino at age 30, his people have been spreading lies about how he was supporting the Jackson family. They used that to keep him away from his family so that he had very little contact with them. This opened him up to all the preditors, like Chandlers . The only time we saw Mj with his family was when he was in deep doodooos and his family came out to support him. Not even Janet was allowed in his life. Perhaps he was hiding the real MJ from from them.
This explains why Catherine asked Michael many times to perform with his brothers. I always thought it was Catherine trying to make them something. But No! They already were SOMETHING and Michael prevented it. It explains a lot. In the long run it hurt Michael more to be so greedy. He lost more than he gained...in the long run. I still like Michael but I get a different perspective.
Wow, I did not know. That is really wrong. When I see Jermaine here I see a really sweet young man with the voice of an angel. You can tell he is singing from his Heart. His Life was Stolen from him. Then later, Michael complained that he had to support his brothers! He, Michael, would still have had his career, but Jermaine could have had his too. That is so wrong.
And that was why Jermaine wrote the song Word to the Badd. The Jacksons were MJ's only competition. Jackie was an excellent songwrite, so was Randy. Randy was also very charismatic and a great musician. MJ tied them up in contracts and put them on lockdown. He didn't want the competition, David Guest wrote a piece on how MJ prevented him from being Janet's manger by pretending that he wanted him to be his. When he turned down Janet, Mj turned him down.MJ was like that.
Jermaine is such a good singer! What happened? Why didn't he become more famous? He is a better singer than so very many "popular" singers. so sad. A career lost by what? Michael still would haven shined but Jermaine could have shined too!
MJ's people put lockdown on all of his brothers music, so they wouldn't get airplay. He wanted to be the only Jackson name out there. He tried it with Janet too but she slipped through the netand avoided it.
my parents divorced when i was 3; i used to hear this as a young child & just cry & cry...because my daddy would not 'come home'. it still can sometimes almost break my heart to listen to it...but it is also a beautiful song, so i still enjoy listening to it!

Was Jermaine married to Hazel at this point in time? He sure looks like he is in love with someone.....which gives this performance an extra flair.

I was always "Daddy's Little Girl" and this beautiful ballad just pulled on my heartstrings. So tender and sweet!
