@sassuke417 Check out Akadot for some great materials--all the nibs, pens, ink, paper and screentones you could ever want. They have a great selection...but don't get the Deleter black ink! Too watery--go for Speedball Super Black or Windsor & Newton Indian ink. Oh and decent Bristol board to draw on...

@Orishi586 Thanks :) Well starting a story is always the hardest. For starting out the best tips are to start the story in an easy but exciting way, don't give out to much informations, but try to create a world and the atmosphere of your story, and of course at least one special character who can pull the readers into the story ;)

@Orishi586 I get that, I've been working on my manga "By Daybreak" for almost 5 years now and am JUST NOW beginning the final draft. I My advice, what makes it easy for me to begin is to first think of you characters, their lives and what you can do with them, and then think of things you want to see happen in the story. Then, compose a script and begin doing rough sketches--from there, just weed out your faves and keep going from there :) Send me a message if you want any more advice...

how do you go about picking names for your characters?

@sam0m1023 Mostly I choose names I like, or which sounds cool. for example in this story I used Sam and Jason for the boys, it's the two english name I like the most. And sometimes I go for the meaning of the name for example, in Saigami the main boy's name is Reiji which means midnight, and it has a meaning for his past.

Well I got a list of japanese names, and I use a vocabulary to learn their meaning, or just go on with it if it sounds cool for the certain character. ;)

I don't know the story of fruits basket, but my opinion is that everything can be outshine ;) Well I fist copied whole manga pages from naruto, and then I just started to make my own story, and with every page I drew I got better. And ofc I practiced hard.

Well, I got help from the president of the Assotiation of Hungarian Comic Publishers. He saw fantasy in my work and then introduced me for a Hungarian comic publisher corp, and they published this manga for me.

Could u please give me some advice of how to start. I already draw, but sometimes I don´t know if I should learn human anatomy first, expressions or try to draw my characters and learn by doing so! How did u do it?

I always answer for this question, that the best you can do if first you learn proper drawing (especially anatomy and using perspectives) and beside you learn the manga style copying the work of pros. For example I learned anatomy and perspectives from my elementary school teacher, and then from art books, and beside it I copied whole pages from Naruto. That' was my way of learning to draw manga. The main thing is: practice, practice, practice, improve :)

I started writting stories at the age of 11 =) and I draw ever since I could take a pencil on my hands, but I started to take it more seriously in the manga style when I was 12, ever since, I can't stay 1 day without drawing, even if it's just something simple xD I'm doing a manga too, to have an idea of the quality it will have, check out my channel =), I don't have any videos yet, but the background image was drawn by me, is it cool? :)

It"s coming out to the 5th Hungarian Comic festival in a limitated number, so probably it won't get to the bookshelves, but people can get it at the fests, animcons, and at the webshop of my publishing corp.
