How can we ever forgive the crimes which were committed. Germany now as a nation should help those starving in Africa by sharing their technology, building schools, hospitals. We can forget the passed and do as if it never existed.
We need to forgive and love but at the same there should be an indemnity paid.
"Wir haben es nicht gewusst" shouldn't be an easy way out for neglecting the
terrible crimes which were committed in the name of " Unsere Vatersland"

yet another scar from a war when it was the innocent that lost lives normal people just going about there daily lives . I did hear the german soldgiers that invaded that village got the wrong place it should have been a village just down the road from there the german soldgiers were after the french informers.The day we visited there was some young german people you could see on there faces even they couldn't understand this madness of what went on in that village that day .

Hi John,
Thankyou for leaving feedback my friend.
We were only able to spend an afternoon in Oradour so of course missed part of what you have posted. What I must go back and see is the kids fishing pond,we never saw that and it looks such a peacefull place now. We are kids orientated and have 7 grandkids now and spend much time with them fishing etc etc. Limoge is a nice place to stay aswell, we stayed in our motorhome overnight in the layby towards the new Oradour. @britanichris Thank you for your comments as for the kids fishing pond I had to get special permission to film that part of Oradour as you say it is very peacefull and a place to stop and think.
