He's had drug suspensions in the past, this time wasn't one of them. I doubt the WWE would have storylined a way for him to leave if it was just a drug suspension. Word I hear is he left to rehab some injuries and give some more time to some personal pursuits like his band and the Hardy Show. The drug charges came after the fact and were for possession of huge amounts of prescription sleeping and pain pills along with Anabolic steroids. There was trace amounts of cocaine found though.
