  • "The Vietnam War is for many US & S. Vietnamese soldiers a battle against an enemy willing to use the most disturbing & sinister weapons of war". Cut to shot of a dude sharpening a bamboo spike. Lol. So the use of napalm, carpet bombing of villages & agent orange is not disturbing or sinister then? What a crock of propagandist shit.

  • Agent orange is crazy. Usa should pay for medical bill

  • we should've nuked the north

on a daily basis, just saying

    in retrospect

  • I learn more from reading comments than from watching documentary.

  • The VietCong were using sinister weapons ... ??? A wooden stick ....very sinister ....Agent Orange still disfigures people to this day cccccc

  • 0:32 we can see how much the Americans know about maps hahahah how the fuck are you going to redraw a map and nobody notice hahah

  • This video is LIES, more LIES, damn LIES & total LIES!.

The only dumbasses that STILL don't know what went on in Vietnam, are the Sheep People that are supposed to be watching this ton of crap on cable TV.

John Paul Vann (later Krulak too) had the //entire// situation figured out by 1964, and was under no illusions. The most disturbing aspects of this conflict are CIA, heroin, torture, phoenix, political assassinations run amok just everywhere all the time, and poisoning from the sky.

  • well ill say charlie was luck we decided that politicians run the war and not generals, we would of bombed the north back into the stone age and if the enemy uses loas as a place to bring arms and supplys well we bomb that to believe me fuck face your country had no shot if we let generals run the war and not politicians

  • No one in the west had ANY idea what they were getting into.

  • more like for every american death, 20 civilians die

  • I love these little yellow mens, they give all for vietnam !!

  • Dispite having better weapons in Vietnam.Ordinary Farmers, with a will to defeat a foreign invader, that was committing war crimes on a daily basis..WON this war.

  • oooo boobies and traps :D

  • Strong troop morals is what a fighting nation needs for winning any battle; unfortinately, that's not the case with what's going on in the Middle East; Barrack Hussein Obama admitted recently that "I'm not interested in winning!"

...Let's get the fuck out of Afghanistan if you're not intend to win...eight years of war "against terrorism" is fuckin' long enough!!! OBAMA!!!!!

  • @grumpypan;with all due respect to your comment. The war in Afgnanistan has NOTHING to do with fighting terrorism, but EVERYTHING to do with controlling an oil pipeline. The Caspian Sea oil pipeline. The war in Afghnanistan, was planned in 1997.read this document from the Library of Congress.U.S. Interest in the Asianic Republices.

  • 9:23 to 9:36.. NO.....NOOO! we did not have better weapons, AND also AIR!!! did not work against Vietcong that were underground PULSE!!! we lost to some werid LOW TECH weapons like spears, holes, tunnel bu be trap especial the AK

  • It was the way in which those Viet Cong weapons were used. Throwing a stake at a guy with an AR-15 will get you killed. A guy with an AR-15 jumping on a stake he didn't see might get him killed.

The U.S. had helmets, armour, vehicles, planes, and helicopters. They were far better equipped.

  • 8:21 what's a heck?

When the narrator mentioned Russian army, instead, we see German Nazi army.

    Is it NLP method?

  • and this is where the HMONG people come in

    didnt even mention us

    pfft

new technology slowed the HO CHI MINH TRAIL, my ass

    hmong people slowed em down

made a deal with america and they never kept it

    pfft

  • fucking click-clacks

  • wtf is with the translation voice?

    rascist

  • That's the man's accent. I assume he's Vietnamese.

  • Just think, 20% of NVA casualties were coming down the Ho Chi Minh trail. Most died of malaria, insect bites, and many other diseases.

  • ''for every man you lose, we will lose ten. In the end you will grow tired of it first''

    -Ho Chi Minh-

  • the Viet Minh soldiers are the people from downtrodden that the exploitation! they struggle with vision not only in America to hand over guns that, in both heart (second weapon that invader never have)

  • when they knew the secret, they were ready to be obliterated.

  • ...At the end nothing has changed for the Vietnamese people....they won nothing...except the humanless communist government that gives up its motherland for the communist China...

  • What gave the Americans the right to decide the type of government another country should have?

  • @ericinghammontevista well, america never forced any country to have democracy. But as you can see, america stops other countries from forcing political policies.

  • @m1grand70 america isnt even a democracy itself looool... they are just run by billionaires and corporations..... the party that wins in usa is the party who legally gets most funded, hence could afford most advertisement. and yes, they DO force their ''democratic'' gov on others. look at iraq and afghanistan, though they are merely puppets in order to get their oil

  • They were never pawns of the Chinese ...whatsmore they were nationalists first an formost, rather than communist. Today Vietnam is a thriving functioning country, communist in name only.

  • ?????????

  • there just dumasses. also i live in this retarded. country

  • americans gave in, in vietnam and korea, they should not of, eventually communism would of become poor and their people would of turned against their leaders, hopefully they don't give up in iraq and afghanistan. and to those of you who say your ashamed of the people who fought these wars, your not a true patriot.

  • You're quite entitled to your opinion, but that's a form of generalizing right there. "Bunch of dumb fucks", how is that any better than racism to say that about a nation as a whole? "Full-blooded Asians, Mexicans, and Blacks" have a rough time because they do look different, it's not stupid, and you'd realize that if you could analyze your own tendencies and reasons for feeling comfortable in a group. It's human nature to feel best with people who look like you.

  • What option did they have? Its theirland where they going to go? iraq is no different, US business at work again fat cats getting fatter. other than WW2, when has US not gone to war to make money?

  • there is no rule in fighting...fighting dirty or not is not the point...the result is all everybody cares...like yeah, so we won...and you lost and you still bitching about it...shame on you!

  • We're not all bitching about it. I'm an American and deeply ashamed of the U.S.-Vietnam War.

  • Remember the U.S. is not a people's government, and it was the U.S. Government, in service to long-term American business interests that went to war. Thousands and thousands of Americans resisted the war effort, and felt great joy when our bullying military was beaten out of Vietnam... not me, of course, because I wasn't alive then.

  • I cant believe the U.S. government lied to their own soldiers, poor vietnam veterans

  • Nobody won. Cold war baby... U.S. vs Russia. whos winning?

  • I personally feel the Chinese, Russians, and Americans used Vietnamese land and people for their own personal gains.

Our Vietnamese blood flowed in the rivers and valleys, our lives lost in the mountains and jungles,

and our souls drifted across the oceans...

  • We DIT NOT win that war, we just won our independence at a bloody high cost.Get that fact straight and stop saying we won against America 'cuz simply its not true.

  • The North Vietnamese really felt a need to keep a watchful eye over their Viet Cong allies huh?

Were the North Vietnaemse really controlling in regards to making sure the V.c obeyed their every orders???

  • I think you are not right. The North Vietnam won the War but not the battles with the South and US. If so called "We" didn't win the war then Vietnam should not be like Vietnam today. I think you get a little bit misunderstanding the words "win the war".

  • I agree. The North Vietnamese won the WAR for independence at the very end of that long, bloody, and often senseless violence.

The North Vietnamese had a strategy of PROTRACTION. They wanted to make it long and drawn out as much as possible.

Even though America and South Vietnam won many BATTLES, in the end the North Vietnamese and to an extent the V.c were willing to war to the very last man if need be.
