Is it just me, or has Screen Gems more or less become what TriStar used to be? I have this feeling that Sony's just going to get rid of TriStar soon, since they barely do anything with it anymore. The last TriStar pic I saw was "Jumping the Broom."
@cubdukat Sony long ago claimed they were gonna terminate TriStar. It's still around. 3 loud HUZZAHAS for the progress of Intracompany Politics (Sarcasm)
Ennyroad, long life and success to this recent (3rd?) incarnation of the Screen gems offshoot & the logo thereof...
2009 marks the tenth anniversary of the "S From Heaven" version of this logo. The Screen Gems logo use hybernated from 1974-1999, a quarter century hybernation period. The "S From Heaven" sounds very relaxing, where the "S From Hell" sounds more intense. The synthesizers used in the "S From Hell" versions were composed by the late Eric Siday and Van Alexander (who might still be alive as of October 2009). All are great pieces of animated art work.
Recently Sony registered the screen gems name trademark, making this logo the only Sony Pictures logo to be registered.

The Screen Gems intro in Underworld (2003) has a sound that plays when a cutscene starts in Gears of War 1. How come?

This Was Taken From "Easy A" (A Modern-Like Romantic Film) But Was Dropped From The 2008 Release "Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist".

I prefer this logo rather than the S from Hell. Even though I like that one too, i like this one better, more modern and up to date.

@TheIronSheikSociety I agree with you totally. Except that "hybernation" is actually spelled with an I.

This is more calm, than The S from Hell from the early 70s.

Yeah. The weird part it, the movies this logo goes with are just as scary as the S from Hell.
Jnelson09Returns 3 years ago
Er, make that, "The weird part is."

@PreviewSubscription I agree. Even though I'm not scared of the S From Hell.
