  • happy birthday brian jones

  • LOVE IT

  • 0:45 Charlie Watts is bored, huh?

  • 0:45 Bored much? Haha :)

  • The song that got them going with the riff that wasn't supposed to be there in a tribute to the Muddy Waters song "Can't be Satisfied" by the band that named themselves after a Muddy Waters album.

I always think of the scene in "Apocalypse Now" when I hear this song.

  • 0:45 wtf

  • This is what John Lennon called Fag dancing by Mick. Look it up.

  • #1 best song according to Rolling stone: "Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan.

#2 best song by the Rolling stones.

The magazine is called Rolling Stone.

    I'm sensing a pattern here...

  • The Worlds Best Rock n Roll band!! Someone who agrees? Thumbs up if so!

  • @nameelezz out of your mind or what their so sloppy

  • I think Jagger is black, but he's got a re-vetiligo.

  • how can anyone dislike this, idiots with clogged up ears

  • I always think of Arnold Schwarzenegger going around in that convertible shooting up that quarry in Raw Deal when I hear this song. That might be why I like it so much.

  • no more rare....

  • Oh. My. Aunt. Look at Jagger's fringe. It's cut in a heart shape. And he was meant to be the bad boy! It's taken me all this time to realise he didn't play an instrument. Very unusual for someone to just sing in those days.

  • @judystock He created the frontman role that Morrison, Plant, Mercury, Tyler all copied...

  • I've heard that the Rolling Stones were described as the tougher, bad boy Beatles.

  • My cousin got an ID badge where he works and he took a picture of Mick Jagger and put it on his face on the badge

  • they were using a playback,so obvious

  • Pause at 0:27

  • 0:45 So much motivation on the drums!

  • On rate my music.com, I am going to make a list of The 100 Greatest Artists of all time voted by the people. If you want to vote, comment back at me telling me your top 5 choices. Every artist must have released their debut album before 1992 (20 years ago) to make it in the list. Voting ends on March 15th.

  • @Afg893 I would nominate Beach Boys, Credence Clearwater Revival, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley and the Comets, Beatles in their early days up to Abbey Road, Tremeloes, Mammas and Pappas, Seekers (Aus group in 60s), and ELVIS of course

  • The Beat Ever, period!!

  • great song

  • OOh

  • I´m the Top Comment :)

  • fuck maroon 5!

  • @gtrthunderlips

    Fuckin amen to that!

  • sluchalem tego w 1968 potem w Pradze i znow w stolicy

  • Since I was present at both the 1964 and 1966 Stones Concerts in Chicago, I can only assume that the #1 Song was "Runaway" by Del Shannon.

Don't pull my crank and tell me it was something by The Beatles, Sinatra or Elvis !!!

  • THE STONES<3

  • this recording was with a potato even for their time.

  • got to see them and the song is still good recorded

  • OMG I LOVE THIS SOOOO FUCKING MUCH FUCK YEAH XD makes me dance, jump, scream, sing!! :D

  • not rare at all...

  • he is best dancer!

  • What guitar did he use!!!?

  • @isaacbateman76 Humm i dont know ,maybe someone will come along that knows and answer your question.

  • @imaStonesGirl1

    dude that's a rhetorical Question

  • @imaStonesGirl1 the guitar on the left is a firebird. the two ont he right arent shown well enough i cant tell

  • @mynamepeggy80 It looks like Keith is playing a Les Paul

  • @isaacbateman76 Well it depends who your referring to "he" as but brian has a Gibson Firebird and Keith has what I believe to be a Gretch but i cant make out the exact model.. most likely a duo jet.

  • @isaacbateman76 Gibson Firebird, Gibson Les Paul and i think Gibson "Dot" :)

  • @isaacbateman76 Which guitarist are you refering too? Also they really arn't playing as most performers didn't on a television performance. Nobody looks like they are playing. The only person doing anything is mick singing. Much like the nirvana performance of smells like teen spirit.

  • @isaacbateman76 Gibson Les paul and Firebird

  • @isaacbateman76 It's a Gibson Non-Reverse Firebird III

  • @isaacbateman76 Gibson firebird

  • @isaacbateman76 they calll that the best song it s really shit man

  • @phenix749 haha cut it out~its quite nice anyway~better than The Beatles - Can't Buy Me Love or Help~

  • @isaacbateman76 i'm pretty sure they don't make them anymore, but why do you want to know

  • @thomassegaert haha just interested in that guitar which can make an awesome noise~ :)

  • @isaacbateman76 if you want to make said noise you'd best buy a new amplifier

  • @thomassegaert oh,i didnt think about that!

  • @isaacbateman76 It has more to do with the tuning of the guitar. Keith doesn't use the traditional tuning method for his guitar. You should be able to look up what notes to tune your strings to to mirror Kieth's sound.

  • @isaacbateman76 The song was in playback

  • I like this song and all but... "voted #2 BEST song of all time By Rolling stone Magazine" Hmmm, I wonder why...

  • The day I graduated from High school I went to a friends house and there was a music program on, do not remember the name of it, but the Stones were singing this song, First time I'd heard it

June of 1965. What a comment on life, graduate and hear I can't Get No Satisfaction on the same day!!!

  • Yeah, this is so rare that it has over a million views on it.

  • <3 <3 loveeee da stones

  • Luke Skywalker is singing ?!?! :D

  • this isn't even rare as audio. maybe it is as a video because it's the official one. it sounds exactly the same as the original track (without the screaming). Other than that, this song is the shit. :D

  • Greatest song all of time!

  • Awesome! Very good song!

  • Mick Jagger is the 60's version of Bieber. Except he's better.

  • @jomai2040

    Hahahaha:))

We dont want to hear that...but it is a little bit true:))

  • everyone in the 60s-70s lipsung, i always hate seeing guitarists randomly strumming lol. its not their fault though, its the broadcasters/companies

  • Keith > Jagger

  • Yeahhhhhhh

  • I loved the stones when i heard this song

  • Right, English understatement, of the decade, century,, they are good.... and I come from Dartford. I saw them play in a place called Blakes recreation ground in somewhere called West Wickham in the suburbs of SE London circa,, wow,, I was about 8,, so 65,, does that tally up ?

  • Oh Mick, I really should stop lusting after you so obsessively, seeing as you're more than 50 years older than me, but......... 2:22 - 2:29 ohhhhh MIIIIIIIIIIICCCCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • jagger: jaguar + tiger. haha

  • damn cool, exelentt song !

  • I love it!

  • the drummer seems looks happy

  • I am 64 yrs old and have followed the Stones since day 1. I even have a huge tattoo of the lips on my left shoulder. The Stones have endured all and are still making new fans and anyone who doesn't like them probably hates their best friend!!

  • I like the Rolling Stones better than the Beatles. But that's just my opinion <3

  • lol voted #2 best song by ROLLING STONE magazine.

  • legal

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • QUE FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gosh I loved this song when I was young, the stones brought the rebel out of me... thank you xxx

  • lol, Mick looks SO YOUNG here. Great performance by the guys, including poor Bryan who was still alive. Thanks for uploading this!

  • Classic

  • the guy thats playing the drums looks like his not doing it

  • I guess, 41 fans of certain modern music (no, no name giving for those people raping music industry) disliked this legendary awesomeness!

  • @Bram25 I just don't understand how anyone could dislike the stones.

  • @imaStonesGirl1 I don't dislike the Stones. No. I LOVE the Stones and have since I was nine, riding my bike three miles and back to the flower store 'cause she sold the 45s with picture sleeves. (I've still got 'Have You Seen Your Mother Baby ..." with the boys in drag!)

I DON'T like when someone posts a vid that's common as dogshit and titles it "rare."

Wasting my time is no joke, so I "Thumbs Down" anybody who does that.

  • @imaStonesGirl1

it is possible, they probably like someone like rihanna instead ;)

  • He looks like Luke Skywalker here....

  • @CorporalGoogoo Yes, he does

  • I came here because of Rachel Crow performed this song on X factor

  • 2:16 His Look So Innocent And Evil At The Same Time XD

  • THIS IS SO AWESOME!

  • Comment removed

  • 1:53, the drummer looks like he has to get some place more important. I can see him saying "uhh, yeah, i got to go see a concert, this band is really unimportant".

  • brian jones rules.

  • Alot of people say mick jagger cant sing, I bet they just saw him AFTER 1968 when he started singing like a totally different person, It really pisses me off theres only 3 videos on youtube of him singing this song truly and from the heart. And in otherwords, i cant put this in otherwords besides, Mick Jagger makes me feel uncomfortable when he gives me that deep look in his eyes in this video, I think im just having a man crush, lol x)

  • Parasta Stonesia ikinä..ikävä kattoa tota turhauttunatta Brian Jonesia.

  • what year is this from?

  • 0:45 What an animal!

  • Keith Richards WROTE this song in his sleep! Really.. Otis may have covered it but he Stones did the original. The fuzzbox was supposed to be saxophones originally but a studio tech introduce Keith to the fuzzbox; it changed the world!

  • @TMCVIII You are correct sir!

  • @imaStonesGirl1 :O you learn something new every day! :)

  • @TMCVIII In his book, he says that the released version was a demo and that he'd only used the fuzz box to fill in for the horns that he wanted to use on the actual version. When he heard that it had been released, his first thought was "Oh, no!". That's pretty cool; one of the most recognizable guitar riffs of all time was just filler because they had no saxophone.

  • @TMCVIII Actually Keith wrote the instrumental music meaning the riff but Mick Jagger wrote the lyrics! :)

  • @SpiderShane1 GET OFF MY VIDEO IDIOT!

  • @imaStonesGirl1 Lemme guess, this is how you dance lol.

  • @SpiderShane1 No but it`s a performance by a kick ass rock band NOT some performance from "soul train"

  • @SpiderShane1 Check this out and see if you can support your own opinion afterwards: watch?v=oMZ09VgzzxQ

  • @SpiderShane1 Proof that other ethnicities are oblivious to good music, lol..

  • @shroopliss I would have to agree with you on that one haha XD

  • @SpiderShane1 White people can't dance, Mick Jagger was a really good dancer!

  • @iRockNRolla28 Well I certainly wouldn't know that by watching this video :P

  • I Can't Get No Satisfaction, Otis Redding , Otis Redding did this song first the rolling stones covered the song

  • @MAKEMONEY70 bollocks - that's the wrong way around - Otis covered this song which has the writing credit of 'Jagger Richards'. Not an Islay Brothers original either (which is it in your book - Islay Bros or Otis original ?? - can't be both)

  • this song was orginaly done by the Isley Brothers who also did twist and shout

  • i like the Mick Jagger dance :D

  • Rolling stones

  • Wow this looks like American Bandstand.

  • Lol at 0:44, he's like "fuck pretending to play the drums, it's prerecorded "

  • Nice faking to a pre-recorded tape, Mick. What a weenie.

  • How can Charlie Watts look so bored?? :46 He has the best job in the world.

  • @dinkeedee And four or more decades later, he looks JUST AS BORED!

  • @dinkeedee If I remember, he is actually a Jazz fan which has a lot more intricate drum patterns than rock.

  • now you can edit the title and remove the "rare" its now on youtube.

  • sir Mikc visitara Machu Picchu!!!

    q wena!!!...PERU!!!

  • does anyone know the date and location of this performance?

  • charlie looks like hes having a blast playing the drums lol

  • The bass in this song is just epic. The problem with digital music recording these days is the complete lack of bass response.

  • Sorta looks like Jim Morrison in the younger days

  • The Rolling Stones have no lefties? Boo.

  • @MacDragard A lot of lefties from the early days played right handed because it was a lot easier getting right handed equipment. I always found it weird that if a lefty or a black guy is in a band, he's usually, but not always, the bass player.

  • He smokes the same cigarettes as me.
