....sigh a great car ruined by too much of one color WHITE seriously common the inside should have been done in a light blue then maybe it wud look bttr
All i can say is theres a alot of money rolling of on those tires i guarantee it, by the way nice ride it's cool having things that are hard to find and in really good shape.
White Color For Trans Am is the most Least popular Color...Im Talkin 2nd Generation TAs The Most Awsome Color In My opinion is No Not Black Either But Burnt Ornage They Call it Cayman Red This Bas Ass Color can Be Spotted From 5 Miles Away Very Very Eye Catching...I own 2 TAms both 78 One is Factory Martinique Blue 4 Speed and The other is the Cayman Red...Guess Which Trans Am i got Pulled Over Alot...
I made the same comment on another Trans Am video but I'll say it again because I feel so strongly on the issue. It is really sad how we in society are brain washed into thinking we MUST have a new car, computer and house etc..every five years (which sadly is why people are always in debt and never really own anything) when the trend should be to pay off things as quickly as possible, keep what you have and take care of it, case in point this beautiful car.
However, when I first got it, it leaked gas, because the gas needle moved EVERY TIME I drove it. I took it to a mechanic. Turns out, I didn't know a thing about 455's! There was no leak. It was just using that much gas!!!!!! LOL!!!
I dont really dig the white and blue though, i'd probly go for an inverted, black and red (the black and gold is nice but a little too over-used, maybe black and silver?) I couldnt do white interior either
Love the car though, its still a 455 T/A and that makes it one of the best on the road, i'd reccomend this car to anyone
You don't see any of these left or on the streets of this style. I love the 70-73 style the best. But the 1974-1976 are no where to be found. Wasn't the 75 and 76 Trans-AMs the dogs of this 2nd generation?
I had a 78 in Gold with Pontiac 400 engine and it was a dog too heavy with 2.56 gears got 10 miles a gallon. Wasn't a stop light bandit or a 0-60 car. Probably only good for cruising freeway. .
They were at their peak in 1973 with the 455 SD (could run mid 13s in the quarter mile stock) and it was pretty much downhill until 1998 when they put the LS1 in them (finally could hit at least mid to 13s again stock). The late 70s were dogs but the 73 was very quick.
Back in the day this car was so hot. At my high school, we had a 10th grader, that worked after school. His parents helped him buy a new '75, silver T.A. exactly like this one. That boy actually laid half the girls in the student body before he graduated because he owned this car. He died in Afghanistan in 2003, on his last tour before retirement.
I used to have a blue and white 79 no t-top of course. A 6.6 Litter but still a great car. It had light blue interior and was styled slightly different for being a 79.
I know a guy who would pay big bucks for it if it were a T Top
guy used to owns an almost exact duplicate but it was blue with a white bird and of coarse a T Top, he's been looking for a new one ever since he lost it in a garage fire
Nice Video with family. The shape the car is in added by the older style buildings in the background makes you feel like your watching a video shot in 1974. You almost could have titled it: "Brand new 74'T/A meets it's Family." Heck even the glarelines in the camera lense gave it a bit of that old 8mm film effect.
Too bad the tach doesn't work.
