Wow, that´s a pretty nice version ! Any idea where i can get a rom file of this game for my emulator ? I also want to enjoy PC98 Sounds :) I searched google for hours but i couldn´t find it. I also searched for the japanese tilte.
This is really interesting as I thought Stunts was DSI's last non-EA release. 4D Sports Boxing was relased under EA Sports already and after that they were quiet until The Need For Speed. (DSI became EA Canada / Pioneer Productions )
Anyways, EA later on released certain NFS titles under "Driving" naming scheme in Japan and I expect this being same. Maybe that's the reason why this has not been known before.
I've never seen this version either. I read on wikipedia that the Amiga one has 'better music' and then watched the video of it and realized that.. if anything it's MARGINALLY better. I, honestly, think that the PC version was better.
As Superallye said, the graphics and the actual game look the same, but the intro and such is WAY different. They turned the intro music into a adlib guitar solo over the basic tune from the PC one.
If anything, it's interesting. Thanks for posting it.
Interesting, I've never seen this version before. Graphics still look the same as the original though. I wish you took a video of your actual gameplay then demo the game by showing available cars and tracks.
Now, you know why Electronic Arts buyed Distinctive Software Inc. (DSI).

@hiropooooong Tandy was an American computer company that made their own sound drives for games on DOS.

The music of this game is performed by YM2203, and has not corresponded to SoundBlaster (PC-9801 version).
Compared with IBM/PC version, I think that it is a poor-looking sound.
PC-9801 version of "NetworkQ RAC RALLY (Europress)" corresponded to both YM2203 and SoundBlaster.
Although I compared both of sounds, SoundBlaster made the very wonderful sound hear.
It is nostalgic recollections.

Although they used the same chip, the sound blaster sound sounds suspiciously like the Sega Genesis.
