Hardcore conservatives and liberals alike must have the last word. And they must scream it for their point to be made (because, in truth, black and white, hardline points of view are very weak and fear-based). I love this MrEMR person. Thinks he/she's so hardcore. I can't stop looking... now I know why people listen to conservative radio. Such a fascinating trainwreck.
See my new comment. So hard to look away. I'd seriously like to talk to you. I understand what you're saying. At it's purest form, left wing-ism is as damaging as the hard right. I just don't think approaching it from a survival of the fittest viewpoint is any better than handing out free money. I'm a teacher (1st grade)... in my opinion, the only answer to any problem is better education.
Also, if your "be gone" quote is a W of Oz reference, I love you harder.
Also... I saw on your comments page, I saw that someone called you an asshole. Even though I disagree with you, you must be doing something right lol.
You are unrealistic fundamentalist religious people who feel that women can't make responsible decisions. You refuse to acknowledge the high rate of teen pregnancy and the ramifications of forcing mothers who shouldn't and don't want to be mothers to have babies. If you're anti-choice, I sure hope you have a house full of foster kids to back it up.
I entirely support your right to be unhappy with the situation (as I am). End game, however: You don't get to choose where your taxes are spent.
First, I'm an agnostic. Second, this video had nothing to do with roe v. wade and trying to overturn it. You're arguing a completely seperate point, moron. Third, I'm pro-choice, with a few restrictions. (no late term for anything other than mother's life in danger, for example) and I still don't think it's society's responsibility to pay for everyone elses screwups. Particularly when it is on an issue like abortion.
Can you make a point without resorting to name calling? It's interesting that you choose to ignore the fact that if we don't help to pay for people's screw ups now we'll be paying for them later. I apologize for making assumptions about you, btw. Just a point to consider: Aren't government subsidized abortions going to low-income women who live in poverty and couldn't otherwise afford them. So the poor have to pay for their mistakes while the rest can opt out? Big ups for proper grammar.
Yes, I can make a point without resorting to insults. I don't always care to though. As for "paying for everyone's screwups later," we pay for plenty of screwups to begin with, and at least those "screwups" will have a chance to live, rather than get ripped apart in their mother's womb. It's no guarantee that they will become a screwup. Dare I say Tim Tebow? And to answer your question, yes....those that can't afford it will have to pay for their mistakes, although you hardly have to be rich....
Tim Tebow supports focus on the family (evil bigoted theocrats who care nothing for families that don't fit their mold). I see where you're coming from. I'm not saying the kids will be screw-ups either. I'm saying the high levels of cyclical poverty will be (and are) a major screw up.
Yet another one wanting people to pull themselves up by nonexistent bootstraps.
PS - I was using the Tebow as an example of how choosing to have the kid can turn out for the better. I'm not familiar with focus on the family, nor do I care where they stand. It's irrelevant to the point I was making with Tebow. By the way, millions and millions have climbed teh social ladder in the US. So on the flip side of the coin, I guess that would make you another one wanting to continue the cycle of poverty through government dependence. Liberalism has trashed entire urban areas.
(continued) Take places like Cleveland, or worse, Detroit. When I saw 35,000 people line up to get what they thought were checks, aka "free money" as one of the women put it, it made me sick. And then to hear her say she thought Obama "got it from his stash," and "that's why we voted for him, Obama Obama Obama," it made me even sicker. That's a one-party town my friend. Conservatism doesn't lead to that kind of social decay.
This is the last bit of my precious time I'm wasting on this conversation. True fiscal conservativism (and what's funny is that I lean toward the middle on this) is put in place to keep the powerful in power. To say that "conservativism does not lead to that kind of social decay" is to ignore the bs effects of conservative economics. I'm all for people working hard, and I agree that the Detroit mess was a mess, but you can't take away all social funding from people who have nothing and whose...
True fiscal conservatism is put in place to avoid bankrupting the government and stop the inevitable spread of bloated bureaucracies, kind like..er...our gov't is now. That "keep the powerful in power" is just a meme the left pulled from it's collective asses to fire up the proletariat. the time has finally come where we are forced to take action to stop these ridiculous leftist fanatics, some of which I belive are European-style socialists but just taking a fabian approach to it, from destroying our society. Have fun blaming 100% democrat-run urban dumps on republicans though. That is just HILARIOUS.
Whatever. Your leftist bullshit with the race card has no sting anymore. You've cheapened it so much that it might bother people more if you called them a "big dummy stupidhead poo poo face." Kiss mys ass, and go fuck yourself, you little marxist twat. FYI, the comment was aimed towards ignorant freeloaders, who yes, don't ususally sound intelligent when they speak. But I don't expect race-obsessed demagogues like you to understand that. "41" Suck it. I'm done with you.
Wow. What a mouth you have there. Right-wing conservatives do love that fear-based anger. I'll give you that it's much more effective than logic and true compromise. As an aside- being a full Jew (if we're going for street cred here), I can assure you that there are plenty of racist Jews. While everyone is a little bit racist, you, my dear, have fed into the propaganda. Just remember, corporations and hardcore capitalists are not looking out for you in the end. Reply back. I'll be gone.
@jegcreations: I don't expect them to "look out for me." It's not a charity. And I'm fully capable of looking out for myself, which is how people are supposed to live in this country. The majority of the left doesn't understand this. You people are stuck in this idelogy that is rooted in chilidish jealousy issues. Waaah! That guy has more stuff than I do! Waaaah! I want the gov't to punish him! Waaah! I want more stuff! Waaaah! Send me a check now gov't! Gibs me sum stuff fo free! Now be gone.
(cont.) families have had nothing for years and years. Fiscal conservatism (true capitalism as my conservative friends want to call it) is not a cure-all nor is ridiculous bleeding heart liberalism. Furthermore, fiscal conservatism is a fast gateway to social conservatism (and those people have a special place reserved for them in hell). Detroits poor economy and the desperate attitude of those people, btw, stems from an economy based almost solely on the auto industry, not leftist politics. :)
waste your time on the stupid and lazy with handouts, which the democratic party has done. Theyve created huge voting blocks with entitlements. Most of their voters vote to "get sumthin fo' free," or at least at the idea that it will happen. For the most part, fiscal conservatives just vote to be left alone and not have our money wasted. That's it. That's about all I really want. Normally, folks like me are quiet, docile, and would rather not have to speak up or protest. But unfortunately,
I hope they stop the Hyde Amendment too, women have a right to ownership of their own bodies. Also, I noticed you used music from Jamendo, good for you, that site has some really good artists offering their music for free.
Yeah....you have a right to ownership of your body. Last time I checked, abortion was legal, as it should be. However, you aren't entitled to my money to pay for one.
Obviously people on youtube are too stupid to read. The point is that NOBODY ELSE GETS TO PICK AND CHOOSE WHERE THEIR TAXES GO. Why is it different with abortion?
The problem with the ad is that is they simplified the issue too much, and their logic is flawed. They're whining about not getting tax dollars for abortion, and they equate this with issues such as national security, which IS the primary responsibility of federal gov't. Abortion is not. The majority of people don't want subsidized abortion, even pro-choice guys like myself. If you end up pregnant, you pay for it. It's your screwup. You leave out one simple point: abortion is not a national security issue. War, although horrible, is. It's a terrible analogy you've made. The first and most important job of the feds is to protect us from all threats foreign and domestic. I believe that's in the constitution. However, there's nothing anywhere about forcing society to pay for everyone's fuck-ups, particularly when it involves moral issues such as abortion does. You have simplified this issue too much. Your ad is foolish.
