  • My favorite part is actually the first 30 seconds.

  • I think the part after Blasphemies is "With God erecting borders"

  • My favorite part is the last 25 seconds!

  • "the last 30 sec. is my favorite part"

"the last 25 seconds is like a guitarists wet dream"

"i jizz myself everytime i listen to the last 25 seconds"

fuckin liars.... stop acting like the last 25 seconds is ur favorite part of the whole song... we all know u secretly are bsessed with the whole thing, and that u pleasure yourself through out the entire duration of this lovely jam.... fuckin liars....

  • @123Bloodmeat shut the fuck up

  • Personally i love the part at 1:07

  • holy shit theyre gonna be at the intersection next month..

  • @thepurplebottle6 I was there... my face is now kept in a jar, cause it melted right the hell off.

  • 0:21 all mighty epicness

  • I got my ass kicked by this song... and I enjoyed every second of it

  • (help me figure this one out :P) = as we break the cryptic morning x2

  • This last, like, 25 seconds of this song kills me every fucking time.

  • @Dementiatari1200 for me its the last 3mins and 12 seconds

  • @Dementiatari1200 I LIVE FOR THE LAST 25 SECONDS

  • @Dementiatari1200 textbook. <3

  • I'm trying to tackle this on guitar. It's intense.

  • This is the name of my guild on world of warcraft lol.

  • @MrThePopsz <3

  • idk how these guys aren't known more, this band is fucking awesome!

  • Ill be honest i used to absoutly hate this band but there starting to grow on me especially stuff on Kezia its pretty great. There really great musicians that have an awesome understanding of music theroy im glad they try hard on there music to do some stuff they do it deffiantly isnt lazy like most ppl

  • @A7Xsyngatescustom1 You used to hate pth but loved a7x enough to make it your name.. you sir used to be a fag...change your name..a7x sucks balls, and flosses with pubes

  • @MrSukMeSideWayz Hey, stop being an asshole. He's complimenting PTH. He can listen to whatever he fucking wants. Just stop being a douche, please?

  • @nabilhentabli you sir are also a fag!

  • @MrSukMeSideWayz

Wow, Even I hate A7X (bad singer) but theres no reason for you to be THAT much of a ass hole

  • @MrEdibleunicorn dont be a queer baiter..besides.. im not an asshole i just dont give a fuck a lot

  • @MrEdibleunicorn actually.. Matt from A7x have a dam powerfull voices.. he just don't use it ( who know why..) when he scream Live.. he impressed me..really.. but it's a matter of opinion tho.. I got impressed, would you ? ;) ...hahaha

  • @MrSukMeSideWayz raging nerd ^O^

  • I drink with heathens and our, our finest blasphemies ( as we break the cryptic morning)

  • Beardcore at its best.

  • Just found out about this band. Have yet to find a song I didn't like immediately.

  • Solid Music

  • not mathcore, its progressive metal

  • @purplepashion12 its only mathcore because of the time signatures. mathcore and prog/tech metal are essentially the same thing. at least its not rap

  • The last little bit is the best part.

  • I call it fuckingawesomecore =D

  • Marhcores finest

  • Kezia definitely is better then Fortress.

  • why do people keep calling these guys mathcore?.. dillinger and the number 12 are mathcore... these guys are technical but not mathcore

  • @maju36able The amount of times the time signature changes in this song along with the sound is a pretty big giveaway.

  • Comment removed

  • @gwakamoley nvm i really dont care mathcore djent progressive.. its all good if done right

  • @maju36able beercore

  • I tried to learn this song, then I remebered I sucked at drums. xD

  • This band isnt so bad on Guitar pro.

  • @viletree No. Djent is a tone, which is achieved by palm muting and releasing the lowest strings of a 7 or 8 stringed guitar, with an excessive amount of middle and treble in the tone frequencies. Protest the Hero does not have a djent tone at all. They are a certain genre of mathcore mixed with tech metal. If you want to hear a band that is like protest, but progressive and with a djenty tone, go listen to Sikth

  • @DyingGrassPriest Would you consider animals as leaders djent?

  • @wizzang AAL would be considered instrumental progressive metal IIRC. Not too sure. Djent is just a tone or a style of playing not a genre.

  • @wizzang No. They are often thrown into that group of bands though. AAL does more than rip of Meshuggah and various metacore bands.

  • I'm a parrot in a cage just singing prayers to Peter.

  • this is nowhere near progressive metal. they're mathcore. they could be progressive metal if they were a little less odd time signature hahaha

  • I like the instrumentals. the lyrics make me wanna kick a puppy a little but overall it's a damn awesome song :)

  • The intro is fucking killer the rest, no so much. lol

  • @burythebody666 I agree with the begining of your comment the rest, not so much. lol

  • @IGNsucks- Opinions vary, my friend. The acoustic part ruins it for me.

  • @burythebody666 really cause I find that part amazingly placed into the song, its not intrusive or odd it fits perfectly.

  • @IGNsucks- good for you.

  • @burythebody666 THANKS!

  • @IGNsucks- your welcome. =D

  • just found this band, just became my favourite band!!!

  • Definitely progressive. Song's don't have to go for 6 an a half months to earn the title progressive.

  • BUT TONIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT........

  • awesome song and band! these lyrics to me are saying that we can do whatever we want, god gave us a life to live, we are all brutal >:3

  • seen these guys live twice. I can't believe they can play just as well live. unbelievable skill!

  • @shitwaffles

    this one, presumably..

  • @fLKommotioN lol win

  • @shitwaffles check out Liquid Tension Experiment

  • @shitwaffles this is like prog tech metal when u think of progressive metal u probably think of andromeda and dream theater

  • @idangle6 There's a word for bands that try to be progressive but aren't smart or technical enough to pull it off... it's called mathcore, or avant-garde. this is a little of both.

  • @shitwaffles Who gies a shit they are avan garde mathcore that changes nothing I hate genre arguments they solve nothing

  • @idangle6 Genre arguments are gay, I agree... but shitty bands getting pegged on good genres is even worse.

  • @shitwaffles Im sorry but did you just call PTH a "shitty band"?

  • @shitwaffles It's a mix of Progressive metal and mathcore. It's sort of like RUSH on crack instumentally, and like Iron Maiden vocally...with a lot more screams.

  • @BigTymerPimp good description i like that

Rush + Iron Maiden + screams + crack = Protest the Hero \m/

  • @shitwaffles I hate to break it to you but this is progressive as fuck

  • @shitwaffles Id just say quit making so many sub genres and there wont be this problem.

  • @shitwaffles

    listen to sequoia throne

  • @shitwaffles It's a bit more like mathcore.

  • @shitwaffles Check a different song out then you cuntbucket.

  • @shitwaffles

Loooooooool man, EXACT same situation here... XD

  • @shitwaffles the guy who told u that lives in this world... idk where ur from that this isnt prog haha

  • listen to the cake

    listen to the cake

    listen to the cake

  • @StrogenZalec9456 lol the first time I heard this I thought they said "fell to my knees like PIECES OF THE CAKE"

  • I think they are Math Metal, but Progressive does it well.

  • Comment removed

  • fuuuuuuuuuck yes.

  • you know what this band is so incredible I sometimes wonder how this music would be recieved if it came out in 1950's. I was just watched Jailhouse rock with Elvis and I had this song on my mind and I was just thinking.

  • 1:26 is one of the coolest moments in music that I have ever heard

  • @shazbot16 You haven't heard much music then, bitch.

  • @YouGotSubbed oh no, i got pwned by an internet tough guy

  • @shazbot16 you just got RAPED by an internet tough guy, bitch

  • 2:44 Niccce Mortal kombat vocal

  • fuckin rockin tune!

  • absoloutely fuckin rockin tune! bought both albums i know from this song, nice to see their from whitby ontario which is twinned with my town in the uk (england), one of my mates sed they sound as mix of funeral for a friend and sikth and he wasnt wrong, well maybe not in this song.

  • hmmm im lost i clicked the thumbs up icon but i LOVE this

  • I thought he was singing "help me figure this one out" haha

  • Where can I find Heretics and Killers Instrumental. COz i wanna listening to the guitar cover.

  • hmm where can I fing Heretics and Killers Instrumental?

  • A little late on what songs sold us on this band, but it was definitely Sequoia Throne that was my first. Then Divine Suicide of K., then Turn Soonest to the Sea.

  • @BarlowGirl86 mine was Bloodmeat, Sequoia throne, dissentience, then this

  • I fucking love the lyrics in this song

  • they incorporate a lot of religious themes in their music, but the Kezia album is a concept album so it's a story being told. It's about the execution of a girl named Kezia, told in three parts, the Priest condemning her, the Guard executing her and herself and then a song to tie it all up together.

  • No not really. Read the lyrics

  • No. but a REALLY AWESOME christian band is Demon Hunter.

  • Though they incorporate many biblical references and what not, their lyricist (Arif), is more sac religious if you read them in context

  • 0:34 is AWESOME DOOD :D

  • yeah theyr basist is cool!

  • i love this band now :)

  • i love this whole album

  • the second scream is "as we break the cryptic morning"

  • THAT'S IT!

I couldn't figure that out. Thank you.

Isn't that line in another one of their songs?

  • yes its in blindfolds aside

  • @FredChipNacho yes it is, it is from the song blindfolds aside. "as we break the cryptic morning, with a bullet and a prayer.."

  • @FredChipNacho yes it is, it is from the song blindfolds aside. "as we break the cryptic morning, with a bullet and a prayer.."

  • Cool!

  • i used to think when they said "jesus in the cave" that they were actually saying "cheeses in the cake"

  • I thought it was "Dis to the K", as in 'An insult to Kezia'.

  • I dream about there music! (Gues that whats happens when you fall asleep with headphones on to many times XD)

  • I always thought the first sentence of lyrics was "They call me the man with the blood of Christ on a stick"...

  • it is man

  • I thought it was "They call me the name of the love of Christ on a steed", I have no idea what that means XD.

  • @FredChipNacho hahahahaha i thought it was cuz im always high but i thought thats what he was saying too. good to know im not the only one.

  • i kinda like it and i kinda dont haha s stars

  • this is a really good song

  • divinity within got me into this band cause its on nhl 07

  • Turn Soonest to the Sea got me into this band :D

  • I need a shirt that says "There's a hole in my heart but it just makes me unholy."

Or any other PTH quote. :3

  • get it made, theres so many places to do custom tees' and id totally be like awesome shirt if I ever saw that

  • @valencetheory "I'd rather kill a stupid flower, and spread its seeds around, until a garden with a purpose laid in morals will be found"

  • Is it "purpose laid in morals?" I always thought it was "bullet-laden morals..."

  • I got 5 of my friends into the band. Saw them like a year ago and we STILL talk about it. FUCKING UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

  • ya I need to thank my friends that liked this band first then showed me, im always open to eexploring someone elses musicall tastes and it always pays off

  • bone marrow sold it for me, their lyrics are so amazing they haunt me!

  • I think this is one of the best band I ever heard all are in there song emotion, riff, fell, bruthal, progessive this is the ultra band master of math core

  • 0:28-0:51

is the best part of the song

  • Mine is probably the last verse

  • bassist is perty sick

  • Love This Fucking SONG!

  • It's on a few of the other videos as well, and I think I saw it on a few lyric sites too.

  • As we break the cryptic morning. Both of the lines Arif growls are from Blindfolds Aside.

You can thank me by uploading Blindfolds Aside from Gallop Meets The Earth. :)

  • just because you sound so sure of yourself, i'll believe you. that would make sense too.

    and okay. :)

  • Blindsfold aside got me into this band,

i think it was cool they put that part in that song. :D

  • its really a concept album, everything ties in together.

  • ahhhh the first song i heard from PTH

This song started it all for me.

  • my first song was sequoia throne. a nice one too XD

  • it was bloodmeat for me! lol

  • They called me the man with the blood of Christ honesty

But tonight I drink with heathens and the finest of our blasphemies

In wine there's truth but in silence there's surrender

  • okay everybody: question: after the acoustic parts, what does arif scream/growl?

after the 1st one he says "tonight we sleep as killers"

reply if you know after the second one.

  • sounds like "as we ride on faith and violence" but that doesn't really make sense. i bet it's something different.

  • you really could be right.

  • Seems right!

  • That would make sense. "And tonight we sleep as killers as we ride on faith and violence." If you think about the story behind the album, it makes sense.

  • Yea I wasn't thinking of putting the two backup lines together (which I should've sense they do it all the time) but it still seems like they could use a better word then ride.

  • i think the usage of the word ride entails a little bit of the lack of control idea, how we're just going with the flow, and the flow happens to be faith and violence somehow combined.. but yeah maybe.

  • PTH = Make me cum hard

  • Wow this isn't music...

    This is a fuckin' prodigy!

  • There's no word that describes how good they are

  • Bloodmeat

    No Stars over Bethlehem

    Sequoia Throne

    Heretics and Killers =

    EPIC!

  • this seems to be the only song i like by this band

  • how much have you listened to?

  • all of the ones you posted, and some others

  • listen to no stars over bethlehem. i love that song :)

  • I used to hate PTH, but then, I got smart. LISTEN TO THEM MORE!!!

  • yeeeeaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!

fucking last verse of Sequoia Throne = best thing ever.

  • Our end is coming soon.... HAHA I LOVE THAT!

  • I seen these on august 29th at big easy! it was amazing

  • isnt this song on nhl 08

  • thousand views! hahaha success...

  • good job mate

  • lol I tried one of these videos (and it even had lyrics) and it hasn't had more than 100ish views. LOL

  • Dude you should upload "The Divine Suicide of K" that song rockz.

  • I just starting listening to PTH and their great!!

This has to be one of the best tracks I've heard so far.

  • haha they're definitely good. make sure to listen to blindfolds aside + turn soonest to the sea. my faves. :P also check out Sikth. they're a good band, something along these lines, although vocally a lot different.

  • Amazing <3
