This was a great movie and should have won an Oscar for hitlers performance but let's be honest I'd didn't because well it is hitler. A fantastic film to watch subtitles weren't a problem as it felt more authentic. A movie made in Germany about a part of history some would like skewed or censored. And tried to portray it how life really is.

I thought downfall was an amazing movie. it showed just how loyal most people were to Hitler and were willing to do anything just because he said so. It is insane just how much power one person had. The movie did a great job at showing Hitler as a person. There are sub titles throughout but it made it just that much more interesting. Everything is in English now. It was different watching it with sub titles. When you read the subtitles it's almost like they are speaking English.

They gave small pocks in blanks to people who thought they were helping them but no one is calling Settlers immoral. Evil is what you make it out to be. Good is the same way. It's ludicrous how people are "but they're a person!". Being a person in no way makes you good. We are all people. That is not inherently a good trait... I have no idea how being a person is always counted as a reason for accepting the things someone does. I saw Downfall quite a while ago and I have to say that I didn't sympathize with hitler al that much. For me it really just opened my eyes. To me it was fascinating to see how blind he was. Probably what I liked the most was was how he slowly and painfully fell from his pedestal and there was nothing he could do about it. it shows how a few small setbacks can spell doom for you.
