If it is jersey fabric (t-shirt) it shouldn't fray. Thats what I have read. I have a book about refashioning t-shirts and the author said that it doesn't need to be sewn. I have done a few and haven't had any fraying problems but am by no means a pro. She is inspiring me to learn though. :)
