Jenny Ewing Memorial Ride, Silver Comet Trail, 9-3-2006

I would like for the bike ride memorial to be every year. I would like signs to encourage the buddy system. More crime happens in shopping parking lots than on the Trail, so that makes it safer than the parking lots. Check out Georgia Bureau of Instigations for numbers of crime in the county you live in.

We don't need more technology. We need the Buddy System.

Pepper spray, a partner in view, and gps/phone are best tools of prevention. Be aware by not having both ears blocked with ear buds. A Sheriff's Deputy said the trail is safer than a parking lot.

I talked to a couple who showed up together last weekend. Her husband leaves her, because she is too slow. I met a man 2 weeks ago who was hit by a brick on the trail. His buddy was out of sight. I was told the trail is safer than a parking lot. Prevention is having pepper spray, being with a partner, and phone/gps.

Enjoy it while you can people, The Burlington Northern Santa Fe is coming in 2013.

What this means is it will be trails to RAILS, no more bikers & families, only SD-40-2's, AC4400's, SD-70ACe's and

about 6 coal trains a day and about a

dozen piggyback trains a day.

The line is RAILBANKED, which means it CAN and WILL be returning to a RAILROAD and BNSF wants into Atlanta BADLY !
