good heavens..i have never seen such unbelivable stroke play..even by sachin tendulkar standards..those straight drives were a sight for the gods man..specially considering no one survived the great south african bowling line up..no batsmen has displayed such exceptional technique and craftsman ship in the last 30 yrs, with the exception of lara..who was wayy too inconsistent..

Unfortunately- when considering careers(which is mandatory when comparing great sporting careers, and not moments here and there)....Tendulkars 32000 runs, near 100 100s and ALL at a better avg than lara, simply dwarf poor lara.

lara was always a team player..if he was on 99..he would even hit a six to get to his 100..whereas sachin would take a single..people enjoy watching lara more than sachin..numbers do NOT speak everything..sachin has not got a single score of 300+ in tests...look at lara there.i prefer lara to sachin..so stylish,flamboyant and pure class!! the best player of spin the game has ever seen..murali rated lara better
