  • (cont) the best part of those great songs are arrangement and pace (on top of superb instrumentals/vocals). For more eclectic beats that feature your unique style I would also suggest you listening to Isaac Hayes Hot Buttered Soul album of 1969/70. (also of Memphis Group). In these sounds, you hear different pace and grander orchestration. Combined with your style beats and fast or slow pace, you could create an interesting product...just a suggestion..I like your stuff...btw..I am Rod's dad...

    Rod told me about your beats developmental videos...I applaud your efforts and your unique originality. I am a tried and true r&b/soul/old school historian and in listening to your two videos, I was wondering if you heard any music from the Memphis Group-old school session players from 1960s Stax Records. Drummer Willie Jackson kept time and Steve Cropper played rhythm guitar for some of the best 60's soul music. Listen to Green Onions, and, Try a Little Tenderness..(continued)
