@msmad2u LOL! You see this is what i've been telling folks. The classics get you dancing. Proves these were good songs. Thanks for that post msmad ;-)
I have been searching for the name is this song for literally years! Even though I am 44 years old, I still love this song. This is when music was still music and when music vidoes were still fun to watch!
God I love this song and video. Love all the different couples. I remember me and my brother doing the dance move they do during the bridge, when we were little. LOL!
@Connie0907 They actually still perform now and then except for Melvin who is the only original member not still in the group. Kevon had a hit album 24/7 in '99 and he just released an album called Who Knew :o)
@unclejacobsworld Man, you got that right! Best times and best music EVER!! Late 80's and early 90's TOTALLY ROCKED!! This damn sure beats the crap outta some of the music today!!!
Babyface and L.A. Reid Last night, I had the time of my life-- it's true For last night, I made love for the very first time With you I never knew love could be so sweet It never made a difference to me But ever since the day that you appeared I'm telling you made the difference Now love is so clear And I can't stop (Can't stop)** How I feel I'm diggin on you You diggin on me We diggin on we And Oh I can't stop (Can't Stop) How I feel
wow I dnt even knw why my memory is so good, but i remember being 1 or 2 yrs old when this song came out and my mom and older sisters use to play the hell out this song...my sisters r 10, 11, and 12 yrs older than me. And now this is my favorite song :-)
This song reminded me of a very close and dear friend that has passed away. He loved this group and I never got my CD back from him.....lol....lol... This is real music~!!!
this came out when i was 7 n i loved it back then! Late 80's early 90's music is the best! they actually had talented ppl with record deals not dancers or pretty faces.
I have loved this song and video clip since intermediate days, it just makes me wana dance with excitement like you know that there is love out there like that, with passion, desire, excitement and a soft side to it that makes you skwirmish inside and funny that makes you wana dance coz youre happy.
its not that all music now a days sucks is just the ones that don't get overshadow by the bulge of music ever growing and fast pace to digest it all at once...
i hear songs from underground and mainstream that need a lil more attention to it...
@ICOMEOUTSMOKIN After 7 is one of my favorite bands... After EWF and Parliament of course lol... Favorite singers are Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder... I am 18!!!
went to a club (not long ago) hardly anyone was dancing, as soon as DJ started spinning this kind of old skool..........LOL..... you had to almost fight for a spot on the floor.......this is music people!!!!!
@msmad2u What club was this? It good to see they know good music when they hear it and don't just dance to anything, especially this nonsense they play today. That is why I don't do clubs. What's the point? I can have a few drinks in my own house with my man and at least listen to my own music. Saves the $20 door charge right?
something about these early 90 jams. . . i just love them. i like to go out and play them randomly at the bar everyone pretends their not into it but they always secretly are.
kevon, is fine as hell. i think that's the one with the high voice. is that correct. the one singing the song in this video. if so, he coming out with a new cd this year
YES this SO does scream 90's. So corny but at the same time, they don't give a damn! Seriously, it is awesome that way because it is more about the music and less about the aesthetics. Like, those guys could never be popular these days just because they don't look the greatest. But their music and voices sure kick the hell out of these "R&B" artist these days.
he's actually a year older than babyface. he did an interview on to, joyner morning show where he talked about all of his brothers. He said he was number 4 and babyface was number5,but he wasnt the baby. He was next to the youngest out of all the kids.
Yep the vid screams 90's, the art deco style, the loud fluorescent colors,. even the cinematography looks old school. meaning they used film instead of the very boring and glossy digital video. i love looking at 90's music vids. they're such a great snap shot of that great decade, like wise the 80's.
Definitely an early 90's jam! Reminds me of the time in life when I had to bribe my sister to take me to the mall and beg her to leave me alone while my friends and I tried to pick up on chicks and pretend we were cool lol. Thank you for posting :)
I remember there were people who said they hated the video (might have been another video post), but i personally love it...it's just so....just so 90's! lol
I too love After 7 and wish some of the music of today was as good as this. I have a sad story. They were set to perform at a university and when the lead act didn't show, they performed anyway for the fans. After 7 was talented. Too bad much of the crowd walked out on them and never got to see them perform, which was incredibly rude in my opinion.
I may only be 16, but I agree with everything that has been said so far. I'm not gonna lie, I definitely like a lot of the current music and keep up to date with things, but there is absolutely nothing that can compare to some good old 90's R&B, in my opinion. And that is so true about people nowadays getting record deals with no true talent and putting out songs that have no meaning or depth. It seems like everyone has gotten so caught up in the party songs just because they're so easy to sell.
This was the song that introduced my to After 7 and I've been a fan ever since. I completely agree that music as I know it is gone. It's good to hear this again.
to bad music nowadays is no where close to being this good.........folks actually had talent back in the day unlike now.....seems like anyone can get a record deal

what happen to AFTER 7 would love 2 hear new music from them again. Where r they now........ Howard Hewitt came out again please pleas consider making another album..........
i was born in 91. i never heard this song before but i heard sam from clarissa explains it all sing this chorus to her and i never forgot the words... aw man SMH
I hear/see people all the time bitchin' about how good music, good r&b, good pop, good rock, etc. all died after the 90's. I'm so grateful to have lived through the 80's and 90's and I'm grateful to look back and think "yeah this is it....one hell of a good jam". I give a wordly huge thanks to those who keep the music and videos going. Its so nice to have them around today.
I really miss the days when black male recording artists used to actually sing. Man, this was some good stuff. God bless new jack.

I was 13 when this came out in 1990, and they used to play this song and video like crazy back in the day.
