  • i legit just blew my belt on my polaris 700 sportsmen (i hope thats what it is ) like 30 min ago on the ice .. when a belt goes while your driveing will it like rattle around an make a loud noise because my engine is still fine .. an mind you im only 16.. an im not savy on working on quads ..if you could get back to me on this it would be very nice .. thanks

  • You know, if you put your belts on like that, you have more change of ripping them apart, and the usual 2 year warranty doesn't work for it then, the company always assumes you have clutch problems, but its just how the belt was put on, your best bet is to put a couple of wedges between the primary clutch so you don't have to roll it on because if you roll in on you stretch it and wear down the outside of the belt as well

  • you do realize your streching the belt when you do that right?

  • If you gotta take that pulley off anyway why not just do that first and the belt will come with it

  • I appreciate your help. Made my job easy. thanks

  • are the tires on that one street legal?

  • This info will help. Thanks!

  • Wow, that was an amazingly simple video, Thank you so much for posting

  • I find every time i buy aftermarket belts they never fit to tight

  • Hey i need to change my clutch buttons in the secondary clutch whats the best way to go about it since this is my 1st polaris im kinda lost

  • is this a good way to change the clutch buttons as well

  • What's the torque spec on the clutch bolt?

  • what is you website?

  • i bet you do that alot with the polaris lol honda and yamaha do not have the problem of a belt slip haha

  • @bikar13 lol they are better bikes lol

  • usually i use a jack stand and put the rear tires off the ground. and use the tires to spin the belt. off...pinched a finger your way once.....on older quads those primaries will be harder to remove...i found putting some grease in hole (or tipping quad up on side and fill hole with oil) before putting the bolt in... the bolt never touches the crank shaft that way. just blows off the crank like a rocket due to the hydralic pressure

  • ATVQUADSQUAD thank you for the informative video and help it made the job real easy dino

  • Does the bolt you make have to be threaded backwards?

  • how did you make your own drive clutch puller 3/4 inch fine thread bolt , then what?? thanks

  • I am doing a belt on one of these for a friend, and I have no manual, so THANK YOU for posting this. It was very helpful. :)

  • very helpfull keep up the good work

  • it appears no one has commented on this in a while so I hope my question will be answered, what exactly does that belt do, I am asking because I have one them off brand linhai 300 4x4 4 wheelers, and the guy I got it from said that it hesitates on take off or strains because the belt needs replaced. Is this true? does this belt play a factor in the pulling performance? It looks fine, but do they stretch or what? Need to know.. thanks to anyone who answers!

  • its been asked several times with no answer but i'll ask again. what size bolt are you using to pull the clutch variator assembly?

  • 3/4 inch fine thread

  • @ATVQUADSQUAD hahaha you wish they were better! If i want to buya piece of shit fourwheeler that breaks down i would buy a polaris!

  • @ATVQUADSQUAD how long does it need to be , i'm guessing at least 12", where did you find one that long? i've looked everywhere.

  • i change mine all the time with out the tool just push in the secoundry clutch and turn it

  • hey jerry why did you take off the clutch do you have to? cant just change the belt without taking out the clutch?asking çause im planning to do this on my 2000 trailboss it is the same?its a 325 cc

  • Great video...so simple!!!...I have changed my polaris belt this exact way with no problems you can do it on the trail without removing the floorboard as well. just remove the bolts on the floorboard and pull outward this will give you enough room to remove the cover.

  • I'm curious as to what size bolt you used to break the clutch loose. Nice Vid by the way!

  • oh ok!

  • Will be making that oil change video for you in the morning. I prefer MOBIL 1 syn 0-40, also I use PURE ONE oil filters.

  • ohh no wonder y it gets heated up really fast but the onlything is i want it to heat up a lil quiker causethe atv is "cold-blooded" and tends to die in the winter cause it gets too cold but ya mostly its heating up cause of oil and i guess it ruining its performance.. do u prefer any certain types of oil?

  • HEELCLICKER is a clutch kit, I think best you can find for a POLARIS. Whast it will do is give better belt grab, improve EBS far less slipage that means less heat and better belt life. Plus wiyh HC you don't have high engaement it will engage right off of idle. You won't lose any top end.

  • so a "heel clicker atv" is a shift? and ya thanks A LOT for the vid it worked perfectly! plus your preferation a carbon fiber blet works like a charm!

and i cant wait till u make a vid on the oil change... because mine isnt soundin good cause i dont want to pay the dealer $50 for that change but thank you!!

  • blaknumbah1 Thanks for the positive responce. I have to change oil this week, I will make a short video of that while I am at it. Sure that many others will appreciate your suggestion.

I have had several request on a video on how to change a HEEL CLICKER ATV CLUTCH KIT also. I sell them on ATVQUADSQUAD"dot"com look for COB.

  • and thans for that belt vid too cause my polaris 700 twin had the same kind of stuff like yours is

  • now can u make a vid on change oil cause im tired of sending it out to dealer to do it

  • Nice job. We've posted a link our ATV site. Very helpful.

    atvobsession (dot)com

  • Thank you appreciate that hope that many ppl get usae out of it. Will try add some more as time goes on, thinking about CV joint replace.
