The Moodies are timeless this song is so pretty Justin and John are always amazing. I saw them at The Palace in Louisville, KY last year and they were so great...love, love, love......thanks Guys....Char
I wish they would put out a compilation of this acoustic stuff... thankfully so much of it exists here on youtube... and thank you JustinFan for this awesome post!
This is a classic example of why Justin HAyward is one of the few in the elite group entitled "Greatest Songwriters of the 1900's". There is something about his song writing (& singing) that is missing from today's music where everyone is taking a ride on a stick, singing through a computer, or mumbling so the words are not recognizeable. That's called junk. This is a SONGWRITER in perfection. Thx!!!!
An acoustic greatest hits album would be nice, and that's probably all that is left for them to do if they were interested. I do like this song although it took me awhile to warm up to the album when it came out. Justin has a way of turning a romantic phrase.
Nice song, not my favorite. However, I feel they should either remaster their old stuff and remove the UFO sounds and make the songs timeless and/or do an acoustic greatest hits with a lovely tour to follow!!! aaahhh to dream...
I would call their music that of faith, hope, and conviction in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as that is the theme of the "Keys Of The Kingdom" from which this song was taken, Christ's Mellenial Kingdom, the Heavenly reward of the true believers and the Resurrection of ALL mankind from the grave. NO HELLFIRE OF TORMENT! That is not found in the Bible.
I'll chime in on this - "Magical" is a good word for Justin and John. Blue Jays, IMO, is an unbelievable CD/album that really reveals what the Moody Blues are all about. I really love seing these 2 guys togehter. Therein lies the "magic."
What a nice performance of this "Keys of the Kingdom" number. Justin and John are always magical together, I consider "Bluejays" to be as good as (Dare I say it?) the "Core seven" Moody Blues albums. (From "Days" to Seventh Sojurn"). Keep the hits coming, it is most appreciated.
songs on that album were basically good, but badly orchestrated and swathed in awful keyboards. This is as good as anything from "bluejays" in this format.
Very tender song. Love this acoustic version. Thank you.

I think this is one of their best songs, it doesn't seem to get the attention that some of the older tunes get, but it's quite moving.

One of a few good songs on the the band's weakest album. Lovely performance.

Wow, there was actually a good song hidden under that cheesy Alan Tarney production on KotK.
