Boy, that old Upright Grand never sounded so good! JoAnn Castle was always a highlight that everyone enjoyed listening to on the Lawrence Welk Show. She gave that Piano a life it never had before.
@ragemanchoo82 Yeah I always want the reruns to include Joann but so many many times back when I watched on PBS....they would be much later shows after Joann left (1969).
@cmlawson16 This is really great, it really did take a lot of talent to play it! There is still music played to day that requires talent, doesn't sound like this, but some that still requires talent, it's just not very popular, victor wooten is a man that has a lot of talent, as is guthrie govan and mattias ia eklundh, just, they're not amazingly popular compared to like, rhianna or something, which is such a shame =/
She has been thrilling me since 1956....I've played boogie...a little rag-time and even a little Joanne but couldn't match her speed and accuracy! ( The Boogieman )

if you think her left hand is incedible, you should see what she can do with her right hand!!

all I can say is wow! How great...What a talent, I wish this kind of music was still popular. It actually took talent to play music back then.

What's most amazing about this video is that she would have only been 20 or 21 at the time.

Another solid Jo Ann Castle performance. I wonder if Jo Ann ever led a band called "Jo Ann Castle and her Castles in the Air?"

Nope...that was bandleader Art Kassel who led his "Castles in the Air" orchestra for some forty years.
